Aug. 2024 I’m so thankful for this excellent training series from Field. I go back to it every single season to brush up. It’s so meticulously demonstrated and explained.
Dangerous, please check with an expert before doing this. A person who is doing this is missing with pressure and possible berral damage. (( Be safe the way you reload ))
my first gun a 22/410, not just duck, but goose grouse rabbit turkey deer hog, my first deer gun was a stevens 39A 410 bolt gun with 2 1/2" slugs or 000buck, my ole man was a hard cob I luv 410s
My field proven call cant hit a low note. When the read breaks over to make a sound it is always really high pitched. What can be done to lower that tone? If nothing can be done this call won't work.
If you put out a decoy make sure you are the decoy is behind you from where the Gobbler is coming from that way he will walk closer to you fixed on the decoy and won't even know you are there.Done that many a time with success.
...fucking christ. Do not do this. Empty hull. Load it properly. Bismuth and lead are not the same and need thier own perameters for a reason. Christ on a bike
In New Zealand you’re actually allowed to use lead in a 410 for waterfowl hunting. It still has to be non toxic for any other gauge but the 410 is an exception Edit: NZ fish and game are changing this rule as of the 2024 season
Listening to Field talk about his college days brings me back to mine. I went for law enforcement because I always wanted to become a game warden someday. Needless to say, I spent most of my student loan on decoys, boat, layout blind and shotgun shells 😅 Even worse, I was hunting when I should have been in class 🤣😭
Thank You! The most in depth in detail videos to learn from I’ve ever seen! And believe me I’ve seen em all! Love the break down of videos and simple REAL world tweaks to make a better caller simply amazing
Still, one of my favorite waterfowl Video. Nice to see some guys doing it for the right reasons, and having respect for the game- Too bad more didn't understand this-
New subscriber here. Love your video, lots of great tips! We have a similar RU-vid channel if you want to check it out, "Hunt and Gather with the Chatters".
I love this man, my first gun was a single shot 410 passed down to me when I was about 7 or 8 from my dad that was passed down to him from his dad. Still have it to this day, I killed everything from birds to deer with that ole gun, the biggest buck I've ever killed was with a 2.5 inch slug.
The question is: how do you convince the warden that you have nontox pellets in a shell saying it has lead? That its a reload but he doesnt believe you?
I wish people would subscribe and motivate FP to make more of these videos. Great calls, good ol boys! This episode NEVER GETS OLD. LOVE RHODES! would love to hunt with these guys!
