Hey! I'm Simone and I live in Trinidad & Tobago. I love all things health & wellness, organization and travel. It has always been a goal of mine to start a RU-vid channel to talk about and share everything I love about life. Have a look around my channel and if you love what you see, subscribe! Would love you to join my community!
Happy you did Lost Tribe this year ,this was 3rd year and the waiting to cross the stage be the most exciting point for me but I definitely agree with that water before crossing tho
Nice video. I was watching the video and was surprised to see me walking on Market Street. You captured me on camera in town.. Hope you had a good time in Antigua. Thanks for choosing Antigua. Please come again.
Thanks for sharing such an in-depth review! So glad to hear you're liking the planner so far. Wishing you all the best with your business / wellness goals -- happy planning!! 🖤😊
The hotel we stayed at - Marriott at Brooklyn Bridge is in a really nice location, however the prices are increasing every year. Another option is staying at an AirBnb which may sometimes be cheaper if you are looking to save. Also to note the time of year matters so around Christmas time all hotels, AirBnBs are more expensive than other times of the year
I hardly see ppl from Trinidad doing videos on RU-vid about planners it’s an obsession for me ! I subscribe because I was watching ur carnival vlog n saw in ur background some Erin condren and happy planner stuff right up my alley lol
Hey yes I did enjoy the resort, room very comfortable, the resort grounds beautiful. The only thing that was not so great was I found there were too many flies around especially around the dining areas.
Hey Cleorinda, thanks for your question! Overall it was worth it. Pros: Room was nice, food was good, the hotel was really beautiful and nicely maintained, the pool and beach areas were beautiful. Cons: There were too many flies for me around the eating areas, customer service was inconsistent, no AC in the indoor buffet area. I felt like the pros outweighed the cons and the cons in my opinion are easy fixes with a some more attention. My sister @ChantalQuamina just uploaded a full hotel tour and review if you would like to get her opinion as well!
Simone, could you please make it clear to me, do one really need to pay for the costume and join the band to play mas on the road or the road is free and open to everyone? What are the benefits of joining a band then? Thank you!
Hey, yes you can come out on the road and enjoy the carnival without playing in a band. However if you would like to play in a costume and have food and drinks already paid for the 2 days you can sign up with a band. So it’s up to you. But you definitely don’t have to be in a band to be on the road
Ooh okay, now it's clear, thanks. I asked about the road cuz I saw those security guys stretching the rope to kind of separate the band crowd from the rest of the people I guess or what is their function? But at the same time I saw people with no costumes on, just regular clothes by the trucks, so that all together confused me. I first wanted to come and join one of the bands but now I'm thinking having a more authentic experience (tailoring my own costume as well) and not that commercialized thing. Do you mind telling about the way local people normally do carnival, or maybe you happen to have the whole video on your channel 😀
I really appreciated your honest take. I am coming to TNT for carnival for the first time and I was sad to see how commercialized some aspects of Carnival have become over the years. I'm still very excited but will keep what you said in mind. We really don't need all this stuff to play mas and have a great time.
