Can anyone please clarify where she means or what loc she is talking about when she says in the note not to hdc in the st before the ch 1. She is not clear.

The link in the description is to a super bulky yarn (6 weight), but the pattern calls for bulky (5 weight). I want to make sure I purchase the correct yarn for the project. Further to my question, I made 68 chain eyes. I started with a second eye, I knitted 10 stitches - expansion, 9 stitches - expansion. 25 poor - expansion. 9 eyes - extension. And I finished with 10 eyes. Is the division appropriate? I am waiting for an answer to continue. Thanks!
