Having lived in Greece for many years, and quite near where this is being built, I usually prefer to hold my judgement on massive projects until after they are done and have been "lived" a bit. Sometimes things that look awkward on paper like the transport system actually turn out to be quite great, unlike many of the structures done for the olympics that supposedly had great things ahead of them but ended up abandoned and rotting even before the economic crisis. Though what I'm seeing so far feels more like the creation of a "gated community" for elites that want to stay well away from the common people, something that in Athens never really worked out. All the renderings that are plastered around this area give me vibes of massive scale version of the "Bosco Verticale" that exists in Milan in which, behind all the eco friendly banter, you get an expensive condo for the rich. At the end of the day, to me at least, projects like these have very little value; especially when done in a country or area ravaged by an economic collapse that is still recovering from. But we'll see when it's done I guess
It would be great if a channel could focus on up to date progress and also showcase some of the technical marvels happening every day involving the crazy logistics needed to restore it. Many of the up close details of the spires prefabricated structure and lead wrapping are still a mystery.
I had the pleasure of visiting this cathedral and I admit I cried when I was inside. When the fire happened it was soul crushing. I remember spending hours walking around it. I hope to visit again.
The advertisements I and millions are being forced to be subjected to by YOU-TUBE are not helping build good relations with the imposed products of greed. OH This video is supposed to be interesting . . . I have lost interest now. Piss OFF YOU-TUBE. You tube is warning me not to post this, but it contains the truth about millions of users ou YOU-TUBE'S exploitative somewhat dictator like business plan.
They're very kind with ND but it should indeed be precised in the written commentary that it's mixed with images of Strasbourg, Marseille, Lyon, etc, even perhaps from abroad... at 6:24 or 8:46 (or Aigues Morte rempart at 8:04 ?). ND is the first LARGE gothic cathedral built in France (earlier Sens, Noyon, Laon, etc are smaller and lower), but it is considered here that AMIENS is the most perfect and Chartres the most valuable, before the ones of Paris, Strasbourg, Reims, Bourges, Rouen, etc...
Hello. I've researched your RU-vid channel and I've seen that your thumbnail is good but as a RU-vidr, your thumbnail should be more attractive and clickbait. You can contact me for a solution. May I get a chance to show you what can I do for you? Thank you.
