SEALS ARE BOTH DIRECTIONAL WITH SMALL ARROW and DIFFERENT purchase numbers. Wrong seal on wrong side and she will leak BAD. Its tricky because they are both the same size.
Hey mate both Right and left seals fit the same BUT they are DIRECTIONAL with a small arrow on each seal indicating the forward direction they MUST be installed AND both seal have different numbers for purchase. Wrong seal on wrong side and she will leak.
I bought a 2015 used that looked to be in pristine condition. The history at the dealership did not indicate a transmission service had been done. I decided to do it myself and two pan bolts were missing and two others were nearly stripped to the point the screws wouldn't tension.
This is so easy. I've done fuel pump replacements where the fuel tank had to be drained and dropped and all I had was a floor jack and jackstands. Hopefully my ES330 won't need this but I'm saving this for future reference.
