WLNY is an independent television station serving the New York, tri-state market. It is owned by the CBS Corporation and is part of the television duopoly with WCBS (Channel 2).WLNY airs three hours a day of live, local news programming as well as talk shows, dramas, sitcoms and weekend movies. The morning news show, Live From The Couch, airs weekdays from 7-9am and is a mix of local news, weather and entertainment. The WLNY News at 9pm is the first local prime time newscast in the market.
