You are excellent at these reviews, man! I ride a HD Dyna Wide Glide, and I'm getting the Oulton, because it is so protective. I think these gloves will look ok with my leather jacket, or my gray Klim Induction jacket.

Just a quick question: is the stitching on the inside or outside? I bought Rev'it gloves without realising they were on the outside and they came apart unbelievably quickly so I'm looking for something far more durable.
@AgentCodyBikes
@AgentCodyBikes 19 дней назад
Majority of the stitching is interior, which for some is a pro and others is a con. Some claim interior stitching/seams cause discomfort on the fingers but I have not had an issue with these personally. No glove should fall apart that quickly regardless so I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the Rev’it.

Honestly not as bad as you might think. I would say high summer heat you’re definitely feeling it, I have another set of textile gloves that I use in those situations which are more easily washed. But If these were my only set I could still make it work. They do lack ventilation though, so if that’s a big deal to you I can confirm I’m not feeling any wind through them.

@@AgentCodyBikes but when riding at 68F or 20C and you take them off after a hour of riding its not that your hands are wet? I think im going to buy these btw. What gloves would breathe more that has similar levels of protetion? did you have other gloves on your short list? Thanks for the reply my guy! you are the only one out there reviewing these.

Really great in depth video! I really hate the fact that Knox patented having two hard sliders so any other brand can't have those, thus limiting safety in the market

If budget wasnt an issue would you get shoei or the scorpion still?
@AgentCodyBikes
@AgentCodyBikes 2 месяца назад
I think it’s really hard to miss the balance of features offered on the scorpion. If I was to upgrade it may be to a Shoei Neotec or GT Air II. The rf1400 was just not as good of a fit for me. I’ve also been liking the arai contour x. But I do feel like you’re paying double the cost for not a lot more personally. Just my 2 cents, thanks for the comment!

Based on your excellent review I bought a pair. I thought I needed a large but wound up with a Medium. Pinky finger has a less than 1/2 inch of excess at tip but other fingers are fine. Snug fit overall and needs a bit of effort to get your hand in initially but that could be because my hands are still a bit swollen from my last crash. : )

Wow, dude - I’ve watched a LOT of product reviews but your videos are EXTREMELY concise and valuable without fluff and flair. Kudos for doing such great product videos. Subscribed. FWIW - I wish EVERY motorcycle glove came with a connector between the smallest two fingers - not like anyone sticks their pinky finger out on a motorcycle so why not protect the smallest finger from being torn backward in a crash?
@AgentCodyBikes
@AgentCodyBikes 3 месяца назад
Thanks for the feedback 🙏 and I 100% agree. So few gloves connect your ring finger and pinkie but I feel like that should be a standard feature. I can’t imagine it would make a huge difference comfort wise so why not just add it.

The flap at 13:24 is for pulling the glove on tighter. Most gauntlet style gloves have that.

Great review. Based on your usage, do you think the Oulten will be good for all day road trips in 70-85f temperature range ? I want the protection and comfort, but not sure how good the ventilation is. BTW, your reviews are very thorough . Looking forward to your future gear reviews. Thanks
@AgentCodyBikes
@AgentCodyBikes 4 месяца назад
Thanks! I would say if you’re maintaining significant speed then the gloves won’t be too hot in those conditions. If you’re in stop and go traffic at 85 degrees it will definitely get warm. They aren’t the most ventilated gloves around for sure. If possible I’d recommend a dedicated summer pair, I have a pair of REVIT Dirt 3s that I’d use in the hottest months just to keep the Oultons from getting too sweaty. Good luck with your choice!

From a self-professed Glove-o-holic, outstanding video! I feel your pain on excess flappage with straps, so here's my pro tip: on all my gloves, I take them to my local leather goods/repair shop. It's a family run business that focuses mostly on luggage/handbags/shoe repair. I pay $30 per pair of gloves, and they stitch extra Velcro into the glove (the sticky, not "furry" part of the Velcro). They do it so that it appears seamless, and although your tight for space between where your Velcro ends and the ginormous ulna protector begins, it looks as though there's some surface area where it could be done. Call around and see if you can find someone because it's worth it. The best, most protective gloves on the market can't do their job if they come off in a crash. Thanks again for the video. Mad respect for your safety consciousness!

I don't know how on earth I came by your channel,maybe it's an algorithm thing, but good choice of a helmet I have the same helmet but it's an Evo carbon,cost like 600$ from europe,I had it for a year now,bought for the same reasons, value for the money,I liked the airfit system and the glossy carbon that made me buy it,I have a lot of Helmets from the best brands, agv, xlite, icon,but this lid is one of the best I wore,but the liner feel on the xlite is much better IMHO!!

Thank you for this detailed comparison. Your description of the Cayenne 2 is everything I'm looking for in my next glove. My only concern is whether it's gauntlet (however short and close fitting) will fit inside my jacket sleeve.
@AgentCodyBikes
@AgentCodyBikes 6 месяцев назад
Unless your jacket has zero stretch and is super tight on your bare wrist, I’m confident it’ll fit underneath. It really is minimal/low profile so you should be all good. I say if that’s the only thing holding you back then pull the trigger and enjoy them! Thanks for the comment.

I'm in LA, too, and just like you, want a gauntlet glove. Fantastic video. Well done. I THINK I like the RSR better; it's longer, although slightly less protection. I like the longer style, but you say the Cayenne is more substantial and has better velcro, so I have to go with the Cayenne being a better glove as far as protection. But the feel is important, and with the longer style, I have to go with the RSR.

Thanks for the comment! Another glove to consider is the Knox Oulton MK2. I really recommend that one. I got ahold of it after I had already made this video and it was great. Has more protection than either of these gloves but is just as comfortable, will try to make a video of it as well. Good luck on your decision!
