This channel specialises in unique tips and experimental tropical gardening. May be of particular use to people on the English South Coast for similar hardiness levels. Subscribe to follow my progress as I attempt to overwinter plants outdoors that most people bring in! See how I protect my Ensete banana which as survived TWO winters outdoors!
Professional video. Good descriptions ;) The utility of the videos could be aided by listing the plant names in the descriptions, and may elicit more likes and views. I've seen others in the tropical garden sector do this, very handy. Hope that helps. ;)
Love your videos Freya. Always informative. Especially love your visits to botanical gardens. Love all the latin names...much better. Im in runcorn East btw
Hi Freya, I most enjoy your garden visits and the informative explanation of the plants in them. I cant think of anything to improve on, sorry. i am in the UK
Hi Freya, another great video, I’m really enjoying the content! A lot of work must go into each one so I’m really impressed and appreciative that you’ve kept it up for so long! And for the competition: yes I’m in the UK!
I think that's the companies that let you dinose three plants are smarter... Why would you let somebody diagnose 14 plants? That would be most all the different plants that they have, probably ... Common sense tells you. They shouldn't let you diagnose all your plants. Then you don't have to buy.
Hi freya, 3 years ago we moved and although we took my main plants ,we had to start again in a new garden, but it's been great and the plants settled in well 😊
Thank you for letting me know, and I am glad your plants have been ok. I think my main worry is I will probably not be able to put the plants in the ground at all in the new house, and will have to sell a lot of them...
Quick question. How many is too many for angels trumpet? People say the toxins can get absorbed through the air. I just bought a collection of 12 varieties. Variegated, serrated edges and different colors.
That is a good question but not one I have an answer to. I believe everyone will probably react differently, so the best way to be cautious is to be aware of symptoms such as headache and burning eyes, and seek medical help straight away if you are ever worried.
It’s lovely to see you back, we’ve missed you! Your videos are always so lovely and a joy to watch. 😃 So sorry to hear you have to move and no doubt dreading the upheaval. I know how devastating and daunting it can feel to have to face moving from somewhere you love as it happened to me and I was heartbroken… but you know what, it’s funny how things work out for the better and although I hated it at first, now I absolutely love my new home and garden more! 🥳 So take heart lovely lady you’ll make your new garden amazing in no time 🌈 🌴🌻and it’ll be a great subject for before and after progress journey video content. 💕 Keep your chin up and you’ll get there… with a truck load of plants 😁😂😎
Thanks for taking us along , and sharing this next incarnation of your passion . For all you are about to take on and transition into, may all things flourish . Thank you very much. This next year is going to be very tough emotionally, undoing everything I have created. But hopefully something better will come of it in time!
Hi...my washy is like the one in the video, brown leaves that haven't fully opened yet and no spear pull (very good tug) has this died or this normal and come back when the weather finally warms up lol
@richardgear4736 the only other thing I can think of is we have painted the roof both on top and underneath which may have given it added protection...
they're an indication of bad potting mix media, made up of bark, which always goes sour on the bottom of pot, when the top is already bone dry. i went to coir and peat based mixes and havent had fungus gnat problems in house plants since. it's cute how they like to sell us a problematic potting mix and blame us for problems from it.
That’s a nice surprise with the alocasia and spider plant popping up in the bag! Well done for identifying them, whenever it’s happened to me I’ve never been able to do so confidently!
Just watch out for the falling fruit! A car near my house got hit, it went right through the run roof, luckily it landed on the empty passenger seat instead of hitting the driver.
Not once you have established which piece is which. I recommend measuring each piece and comparing with the measurement in the instructions, then writing in pencil A1, A2 etc on the wood. Hopefully this video will help aid the instructions too. I am very happy with the Gazebo though.
The Gunneras are stunning, some of those plants. I've never seen in the U.S., definitely have to get me a Gunnera🤗🇺🇸🌴 Blessings 🙏🇺🇸🌴 Jose's Tropical Garden 🌴
