The relationship between two Christian brothers is not the same as the relationship between a husband and a wife. The later is a covenant relationship, that's not what Christ spoke about in Matthew 18. To relate the two scriptures in the same context can be very dangerous.

This is what JESUS commanded the Apostle after HIS resurrection. Go read Acts 2 and see the 1st sermon Peter preached and 3000 people got saved. JESUS was under the law and HIS ministry was predominantly to the lost sheep of Israel. The number one question was, will the FATHER restore the kingdom to Israel at this time. HE was declaring to HIM that kingdom of GOD is at hand. What you truly need is restoration in the SPIRIT and not to preeminence as a nation. That will eventually happen later. But now I have come die for your sins so that you might be saved and experience MY kingdom. There's no kingdom without JESUS and you can't enter without believing in HIS death, burial and resurrection. Apostle Paul was sent to us Gentiles specifically and he said we preach CHRIST and HIM crucified. Meaning no matter what you preach. CHRIST is the foundation and builder. Acts 1:7-8 AMP [7] He said to them, “It is not for you to know the times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority. [8] But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
