Adventures from bird field studies in New Guinea and beyond (formerly 'Wild Birds of New Guiena') . Stay tuned for full video series showing our journey to finding Auwo (the Black-naped Pheasant-pigeon), a species undocumented by scientists since the 1800s!
Just like a documentary on Mt. Bosavi, Western Province, Papua New Guinea where a scientist found 12 new moth species in just less than 5minutes... He shone a huge torch towards a cliff side and catched 100s of moths on a mosquito net
this is actually not a new species this is an animal or bird that was not in our world for 140 years until they found the last one ever *sorry to spoil it*
I wonder if they can go on expeditions to find similar birds lost to science and time such as the Ivory-billed woodpecker, Imperial woodpecker, and Glaucous macaw.
