Hey guys, this is The Cloud Pilot a.k.a Udesh Udayakumar. I make: 1. Videos on the cloud, DevOps, career, finance, and certification preparations 2. Podcast featuring experts in tech

It depends on what your career trajectory you'd like to choose. GCP Developer helps you more on the DevOps side while Data Engineering helps you in the data side.
Anthos is not just a tool or a service. Rather its a tech stack. Here the requirement is to build a hybrid cloud solution. So, any alternatives that can compliment the same would suffice. If we look at the latest updates, GKE Enterprise version connected with self-hosted K8s would be suitable for the same.
There was a recent case study that you don't want transcoding in functions. It is more effective to use vms. My company uses vms for video apps. They are just better for it.
Although companies decide if you can be hired to such roles, it doesnt make sense to be in that position as its important to build trust with customers with your past technical implementation experience.
I attended one interview today on gcp. Please answer this question please. How to upload a csv from local Machine to GCP using pyspark.what are the steps you will do for this
Good question! Certifications are like cherries on cake. Cake represents your skills and cherries adds an attraction to it. So, having certifications will give you visibility and advantage over other candidates with the same level of knowledge/skills. Regarding the correct answers, there is no cutoff mark/percent known for these exams. Hence, it's assumed generally to be around 75 to 80%. This would be around 35-40 out of 50 questions.
Every large cloud providers strive to be the best. The market changes and we have to adapt for our survival. Hence, there is no single future proof cloud.
I have already completed the exam on new guide and here are my preparation - The CloudSkillBoost official learning path is the only right resource I can refer for now. Everything else is not updated. There is zero ML Questions dont give preference to that + Learn about Memorystore, Alloydb, Biglake, Dataplex, and Analytics Hub from the documentation. For sample questions refer to the Official certification page and udemy.
The latest syllabus will cover less ML and focuses that to the newly introduced data services. I plan to make another video when I recertify later this year.
Hello , I just wanted to ask if all 60 questions were multiple choice ? If you have no knowledge in machine learning,is 2 months good enough to prepare and pass the exam?
I recommend learning the fundamentals before attempting these exams. Get experience and later try the exams because these certifications will never get you a job.
@@thecloudpilot thanks for response. Getting the experience is the trickiest part. Although I have considerable amount of Java experience but still getting into a Cloud project to get hands on experience in these technologies is becoming difficult. Everyone wants prior cloud experience.
Hey, first of all, congratulations! I have a few questions. Since I'm working as a data scientist and have hands-on experience with AWS cloud tools, will that help me understand GCP services? Do they have any criteria for appearing for this certification, such as requiring candidates to have cleared the Google Foundational or Associate certification first, or can I appear directly? Also, do they provide any voucher coupon codes
1. You're halfway there with the experience. Fundamentally, concepts are the same although different CSPs have different offerings. Map the services to the ones you feel is right fit in AWS and it'll help you learn faster. 2. No criteria whatsoever for anyone. 3. Professional certification vouchers are usually not observed. However, if you work for a Google Cloud Partner, you may get a voucher through the company. Hope this helps!
Thanks very much for this video and the study guide resources. Can I ask you if you completed the entire Cloud Developer Learning Path on cloudskillsboost? It looks like 200+ hours of courses. You probably have more hands-on work experience than I do in GCP. I have only a few months of hands-on from my work, so it may be necessary for me to complete the entire learning path. I am also taking the Udemy course from In28Minutes that you recommended. Thanks again for providing all of these resources.
Hello there! I did not go through the study path as my work experience gave me the necessary hands-on. I prepared a customized learning plan for me, with the knowledge I had, and used these materials as reference points. Because I was working, I didn't have to use the Skills Boost platform. Hope this helps!
To learn the basics, I'd say 2 weeks maximum. For the certification, it took me almost 3 months to gain that confidence and pass the exam since my Day 1 of learning Kubernetes.
I've worked in the delivery as a Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer for almost 2 years. Although I'm in presales now, I'm still equipped with my hands-on knowledge on these tools and try to keep it upto date.
Bro I have completed CKA,CKAD,ISTIO with high score in first attempt. I am preparing for CKS now. But I didn’t start looking new opportunities. Is market good? Will I get a job?
You are on the verge of being an administrator I think its only two steps behind,as for the sales process is concerned the manufacturing is the fundamental strategy to pofition their product or say brand positioning, then the repositioning occurs after the redesigning according to the consumer. The cloud section technically handled by so many respective servers to generate the exact throughput.
Presales it means in engineering the prior sales activity of the software the required change in the sw according to customization, today its called presales. Challenges faced by presales engineering is the understanding of the change according to the requirement of the consumer as the requirement analysis. The amalysis may be hindered by the variant of communication.
Thank you for this video. I have observed that when I took simulator exam I was not able to copy paste from kubernetes io and paste into the shell. Could you let me. Know if you have faced the same issue and if it will be the same in real exam as well?
I'm sorry, this title is completely misleading without you revealing that you have a lot of experience in GCP and you have already passed this exam before. It's not really "first try" in that sense.
Sorry to hear that but this is the exact strategy that I used to prepare for my first time. The study resources I mentioned in the video is good enough to get you covered for your exam. My work experience helped me recertify this time without even preparing. I saw a notification to recertify. Booked the exam for the nearest slot. Skimmed through these materials. Finished the exam in under 40 minutes. Passed! This might not be your case if you're appearing for the first time. But these resources helped me pass this exam when I tried it for the first time while I was still in my college.
