Nice touch ! 😎 The idea of the filter settings I used back then was to give the "mix" an overall bass-like sound. More "Oomph" if you will. Removing the filter has some effect, but it still stands the tooth of time. I hardly hear the difference. But it is that little difference on the C64 SID chip at the time that made the difference. But hey! Any rendition of Robocop 3 on any medium is a good one ! 🤓
I don't know, i like this filter. Because of bass and treble mix. But it's already good! Next time put the ViewWidthSamples setting to 1600 (when the samples are 48000Hz) or 1470 (when the samples are 44100Hz). Or put ViewWidthMiliseconds to 33.33333321.
About MP2: MPEG-1 was the Motion Picture Experts Group's first published standard for audiovisual data compression. It had three audio "Layers" of varying complexity. Layer 1 was the most basic, stripped back codec, and was used in the short-lived Digital Compact Cassette format. Layer 2 was computationally simple as well, and saw use in Video CD, digital radio, and was pitted as a competitor to its predecessor, a codec called MUSICAM. Layer 3 was developed separately, derived from a codec called ASPEC, intended to be used by more advanced hardware, and aimed at producing lower-bitrate results. As the codec aimed most toward use on the internet, MP3 became ubiquitous. MPEG would develop more standards in the AV field, MPEG-2 being used for DVDs and Digital broadcast TV, MPEG-4 being used for blu-ray and the .mp4 video container format, which includes such goodies as codecs like h.264, h.265 (video) and AAC (m4a audio).
Furnace settings > audio > DC offset correction (uncheck) It may result in "pops" in the sound for weird chips but you'll get the raw audio from the chips you use.
no way 107 views in 19 hours thank you guys so much i didnt think this channel would become so popular 200 views noway anyways heres a shameless self-promo of my discord (its empty af) discord.gg/w4sJACVFtW
