back in 1978-79, while a senior in high school art class, we made a portrait of nick and presented it to him at the rye rink. not sure what he thought of it, but it was pretty good
Twist was basically two different fighters. 210 lbs Twist in the Nordiques and then later the 250 lbs Twist in the Blues. People say he was on roids which nobody has no proof of. But he was definitely MUCH more dangerous after that enormous mass gain.
Most guys get over their wannabe tough guy phase by the time they're 20, maybe a little older if they're idiots. "Diablo" is in his 50s and still telling bullshit stories about fights. It's pathetic and cringeworthy.
Went into a bus load of Staten Island people at the long arena big brave broke out between duck fans And bus load of Staten Island people big brawl Nicky was on Cape Cod And a few years later in the Late 70s met him at Belmont park Nice guy without a doubt
Probert is widely considered the all time nhl champ but in my opinion he got beat on many occasions. Tie die jay miller craig coxe vraig berube troy crowder todd ewen chris simon link gaetz dave manson behn wilson rob ray stu grimson ken baumgartner. Dave brown tony twist chris nylan wendal clark al secord gino odjek jeff odgers paul lAus donald brashear tim hunter
Probert never fought Rob Ray and he sure as hell didn't lose to Gaetz. As for the guys he did lose to he always came back and beat them at a different time.
I can't process how young Trevor Gillies looks. He honestly looks 28-30 years ild. He looks super young. Maybe its the mustache but he really looks super young. Unbelievable 👍
Trevor the animal Gillies !!!! some strange reason always wanted Trevor in a flyers uniform. Everything he came with was a Philadelphia attitude💪👌 plus beard...
Dave Brown WAS NOT a tough guy.....NEVER would fight the tough guys unless he was able to JUMP them and get in a few shots before they even knew they were in a fight........
Domi didn’t elbow Niedermayer for no reason. Niedermayer had crosschecked Domi in the face a couple games previous to the game with the elbow, and Scott got away with it. I don’t blame Domi for paying Niedermayer back. The only thing Domi did wrong was atrocious timing. In the midst of a playoff series like that, it wasn’t the time to settle a personal score. Domi, who, as McKenzie said here, was playing great in those playoffs, was suspended. And the Devils rallied around the incident and came back to win the series. Domi should have keep his mind on the business at hand… then paid Niedermayer back the next season.
I remember this pussy! Bitch screw from the Winelands with Hammertown in colors. Pussy couldn't make Apex, come to Hamilton bro, you've never scared me.
I just watched the legendary fight night game (I’m still novice in my NHL history) but holy shit, one of the most exciting games I’ve ever seen. Gillies is pretty much Ross Rhea (Goon movie) in my mind. Class act, did his job like a boss. I know you’re retired, but you’re still accruing new fans!
Gillies played nearly 20 seasons in hockey but only 4 in the professional & those 4 he was up & down all season all just because he was a cowardly bully.
@@FightStoriesPodcast Gillies was & still is a cowardly bully who lost more then he won. 20 years in hockey only 4 up & down from the minors yeah real player..... waste of H20.
@@fleatactical7390 same as 99.99% including you none. Never said I did play pro. But I've been in plenty of fights even after college against drunk idiots like gillies harassing people especially women at bars & restautants because the idiots are drunk & think their special. In either case you don't kick or hit a person KO but Gillies did. There's a real reason he didn't play in the bigs for 4 or 5 years after getting karma.
