My instructor and I had to land at the Isle of Man due to an engine issue with the Hawk T1 we were flying. A rescue helicopter from RAF Valley came to get us. I tell my friends that if our sortie was 16 years later...the future King of England would well have been my chauffeur.
God Bless the Prince and Princess of Wales. He has demonstrated above and beyond his ability to lead and demonstrate class, honor and integrity. So much love and respect for this man and his family. No wonder Harry is scrambling trying to tarnish his reputation. So Sad for Harry. Wish him the best but he is grasping at straws. Prince William is the future King and thank God for that!!!!!
This is great! More years ago than I'd like to admit, the predecessors of these were stationed at RAF Leconfield, a short bike ride from my home in Beverley. This was about the time Prince William's father The King was himself invested as Prince Of Wales. (don't please think too hard about how old that actually makes me). We had an Airfix Edward, Black Prince of Wales on the windowledge, who would do a little dance-dance as the huge bird (when approaching from inland) thundered overhead. Essentially, give or take the odd computery gizmo these modern aircraft are the same, of course they've evolved, but the crews have to do much the same things. We were given a demo at school, then taken to Leconfield and they 'rescued' a mannequin RIGHT THERE on the parade ground. The North Sea is a treacherous water, so Leconfield is a natural choice for these. I have always held the crews of these yellow birdies in the very highest esteem, and so, all those years ago I was delighted that Prince William had enlisted in this heroic service. Wunderbar! 🌟👑👍
To be honest, I never understand why Royals have a career as a pilot. If you’re a prince, that’s a life commitment in itself, and he doesn’t have to do it for the money. Wouldn’t it be better to become a surgeon if he wants to work, etc.
Being a surgeon takes years... idk if he has enough time to do all the training before duty calls. Then as soon as you've done all that training? Poof! Royal duty calls and you don't get time to do what you've trained for. Too soul crushing.
Many royal British sons served in whatever military was available going back in history because it was seen as a necessity for kingship, although there are many kings who did not lead men into battle. The 20th century royals have continued in the military tradition, mostly serving in the Royal Navy, including King Charles III who served in the RN as well as the Royal Air Force. Prince William graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, then the RAF and also the Royal Navy. I remember seeing video of him running to the helicopter at Highgrove as a 3 year old as his father was getting ready to leave for an engagement, and the pilots let him sit in their seats and wear their helmets….i guess it stuck! As a serving member of the Royal Family, his duties preclude _ANY_ profession, because he’s in training to be King.
I have great respect for Prince Williams I believe that was an H3 powered by the t-58. He always carries himself at a very high level of honor and integrity for the whole world to see. Semper Fi Sir ⚖️❤️🇺🇲
In Korea, there is a president who rejects Noblesse, uses illness as an excuse, avoids military service, drives young people to soldiers for power, and scams the public by calling for destruction. The head of Korea's Shinsegae Group, a man who evaded the military, appears during the election season and shouts for destruction to win votes for the elderly. Korea is a dirty and disgusting country where these draft dodgers dare to cry out loyalty for the country.
A man of the people, i also wish his mother was still alive to BOTH of her sons she'd be well proud of them as I'm sure she is watching over them RESPECT
Wow - Price William flying a search & rescue helicopter! It was reported that Harry did this (but not true he failed the exam). Once again GENUINE vs FAKE!
Angela was swimming in a short course pool. She could push off at the end of every 25 meter. Not comparable. Eric swam in an Olympic 50 meter pool. Now you can compare Lydia Jacoby and Eric the Eel. Lydia trained mostly in a 25 yard pool. She had to drive 125 miles to swim in a 50 meter pool in Anchorage Alaska.
I wonder how does it must he feel to be always commanding to be taking any orders well that is what you learn in Jesus school humility. He is very humble.
