Just curious, I saw the rustoleum reducer. Was that for the ppg paint? Also, I use the black widow as well. Amazing finish from a reasonably priced gun!
I’m no expert but I’ve never seen one expert paint this way. You go over the same spot so many times and the overspray appears to be more than what you’re putting down!.. Maybe it’s unclear in the video but maybe thats why you’re paint is drying so fast (aside of 90 temp).. You are drying it as you are “applying it”… I bet that paint cracks and splits in no time.. then again I didn’t notice what paint you used… Looked All Wrong!. Hope I am!.
@theelf152 it looked like glass on 2nd coat. There's always going to be overspray while painted a complete car I've painted over 40 of these eleanors and paints always held up good. There's 4 coats of base and 2 coats of urethane clear coat. No thicker than any other paint job I'd imagine. It only appeared I was going over same spot alot. I wasn't Thanks for watching.
you walk the paint walk along the whole lenght of the car just like Kosmoski from the house of color does it. Great job . Can't wait to see the 66 project start in a few months.
You're going to lose your car, every penny you put into in and every second of work you've invested into it when the "owners of the Eleanor brand' find out about your build.
@@MrGonein60 OH!! That's good news! I've seen a few Elinor builds on youtube just disappear from the channel and later found out that they'd been confiscated. Made me sick to my stomach. The cars you're restoring are gorgeous, mate. I'll look forward to seeing them completed.
I have seen and worked on many of these ladies from a variety of builders... watching you build them and seeing it on a video and then to see the finished product in person... I can honestly say you do some of the best work in the industry.... ive never seen anybody with your attention and commitment to every detail. You truly are an artist...dont ever stop!
You do great work buddy, love to see someone work with that they've got and do such a great job!! I've watched all your videos so far and look forward to many more!! Do you have a way to shoot me some accurate measurements by a chance? I'm going to replace the full front frame rails w/ core support and full floor on my 68. It would be greatly appreciated!! I don't have a car to get measurements off of.
Maybe you could be the first I've seen to make a full factory measurement video for everything up front when frame rails need to be replaced 🫣 just an idea!! Thank you for your time brother
Just read thro some other posts I see you use the black widow . And I see you used ppg I am as well was at the paint supply store today . I’ve been using a primer from Ppg called cre 321 it’s amazing stuff have you used it
I have used ppg primer in the past. It's definitely good stuff. I started using finish1 2k primer by Sherwin Williams. It lays down smooth and does not shrink like alot of other brands. It's also a good direct to metal primer. The black widow paint gun is a beast. I love it.
I watch all you videos I’m almost ready to paint my Eleanor can you tell me what gun you are using and do you use the same gun for clear what gun for primer
Fantastic job! I’ve painted hundreds of race cars over the years and gotten trash in the paint while in the most high dollar paint booths and had some of the best paint jobs in an open garage.
@@MrGonein60 I don't hear many people say that they start with a little prayer. I appreciate that statement more than you know. May God always bless you, your family and business.
@@MrGonein60 we all need to start with a prayer in everything we do it will guide us better and keep us on track and keep us from doing something we shouldn't sometimes
Dude I have been following you for a while now and enjoy your videos. I have a 67 fastback how would I reach you to talk about doing some work on my car?
@wallykern5652 I'm actually trying to get away from doing public work. I had a bad experience a couple weeks ago that really opened my eyes. These old cars are pretty simple. I've helped alot of people with thier cars via video chat or just messaging back and forth. You can do it.
@@MrGonein60 I am sorry to hear that! I am a business owner too and understand things happen like that. I do not have enough free time to do the work on my own unfortunately. Please think about it if you do not mind. My car has been garage kept the last 30 years, I have the full body kit and the car truly has no rust. I like your work but do not feel pressure, I will still support your channel as I enjoy watching. I see what you do and to me you are the perfect guy for this job.
