Recently I bought a "Sonora" clock mechanism. After some looking/calling around I thinks the mechanism is really a New Haven (I think Sonora bought New Haven Co.) and it look identical to your Wilcock chime movement. Do you still have the clock? My son (10 years old) hopes to rebuild the clock. Any ideas where to find parts?

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I don't check it much. The Sonora is a Seth Thomas movement. The Wilcock was made in Canada and the movements were purchased by New Haven from them. Glad to hear your son wants to learn clock repair, we sure could use some young people learning the trade. I've been repairing clocks for over 40 years and trying to slow down a little now.but people just keep bringing them to me.

It's not sound good. You must adjust the hammer not to close to the gong.

Nice clock, but would sound a whole lot better if you adjust the hammers!
