Great video.........Thanks for sharing ...too bad Homestead and Arctic training not to mention jungle school guess because they dont exist any longer at least I had a chance to do all of them at one point in my career Was a SERE instructor for 10 years and loved it. Later X-trained too Loadmaster. But what gets me the Altitude Chamber recurrent was a semi annual AF requirement and later when I retired and flew another 20 years with a commercial airline not once was it a requirement to do ALT Chamber training. All that training eventually paid off when a window in the cockpit blew a seal at 39,000 feet.

The flashlights are questionable. That tac pen is illegal in Canada.

Flashlights are proven. Make sure it is high quality and trusted brand tho. Also look at the candela rating, not the lumen output, for maximum blinding capability even in daylight.

If a umbrella or walking cane is strong enough I think it could kill, if used against the head.

Carry all of it in a Molle belt pouch. You don't have to worry about it looking bad that way. My EDC is similar to yours. I carry: 1. 3 pepper sprays 2. 1 Fenix 1000 Lm flashlight 3. 1 Extendable Baton 4. 1 pocket knife, foldable 5. 1 Tactical Pen With Glass Breaker (UZI) Will make a video soon. :)

Stephen No problem! I find it interesting to learn about the evolutionary changes in firearms training. Even the grip has changed in the last 20 to 30 years.

@@mindsetandtactics6586 I have been involved with firearms from a young age. Now at 72 years of age and in bad health I am trying to keep my personal self-defense and the defense of my family basic and use easily performed techniques. I feel point shooting and hip-shooting can still be valid at close range such as in a home invasion, mugging or carjacking if it is appropriate. What do you think about civilian shoot-out statistics on number of shots fired by the civilian defender and the distance and time element? I carry a single stack 9 mm Ruger LC9, hammer fired version. Thanks for your help. Steve

Stephen The Ruger LC9 is a great carry option. I think point shooting could be valuable for close engagements but I would only shoot from the hip if the attacker was within arms length. As responsible gun owners we are responsible for every round. As far as the stats are concerned, I believe the average round count is around 2 to 3 rounds. However, I like to be prepared for worse case scenarios. Is the LC9 also your home defense firearm?

@@mindsetandtactics6586 It is my only firearm. I live with my wife and our younger daughter who takes care of us. My wife has a Ruger LCR .38 Special as her weapon and my daughter has a S&W model 637. Thanks.
