the fact that it is an incredible project does not mean that it is not open to criticism. For example, I don't understand the effort of burying an entire building to harmonize it with the ground, and then leaving those white blinding shreds of walls exposed. And if you answer me that white is the typical color of Greek architecture, I reply you easily: then leave everything in sight and do not bury anything.
From a beginner perspective this seems a really simple and effective armbar, is there any reason this isn't taught as much as the usual closed guard armbar?
What appears to be "simple" has a thousand details in it that a beginner won't perceive. Think of Roger Gracie, it all looks "basic," it has so many details in his technique that when explained to us I can't keep track of all in a short amount of time. I'm a purple belt from one of his first black belts. The basic moves are often taught so that a student can easily identify and learn the principles of the position. JT Torres is one of the best in the world, there's a lot that Kron did right to make that wok. But I see what your point is, I hate the fact that in many academies they teach low percentage attacks. Or maybe it's the students that quit on a technique too early, I know that it happens for a fact. I take pride in the fact that I submit the most from closed guard with armlocks and mount like Roger.
you need certain reactions to make this one work. guy has to really be posturing up. this is probably why. I feel usually coaches teach to not let them posture up, instead breaking their posture and controlling the arm to "force" an armbar.
This is just more advanced. Ironically, we first learn the basic arm bar from closed guard, which is less likely to work because everyone trains on it. Check out Mica Galvao's matches for more on the evolution of the basics.
@@FrazfulThis technique doesn't have thousands of details, it's more about a lot of practice. Even if you know all possible, smallest details it means nothing, you have to practice and as we know when it comes to guard, Roger and Kron are best from closed guard. Kron just saw the opportunity, he had less than a second to perform his action, but he was able to pull this move, because probably he was doing this countless times before. Basics are as effective as anything, but people forget about them, because it's easier and more fun to surprise your opponent with something new, which was never seen before, but if you spend enough time in basic positions you will get same results, like Roger who spends huge amount of time in basic positions, like mount, side control, back etc. but not only attacking, also defending. I like Kron, he was always looking for a submission, totally diffrent approach than 99,9% of competitors. Bjj and adcc rules should be changed, jiu jitsu is about submissions, not playing rat strategies which make this sport painful to watch for 99'9% viewers.
Greek landscape is terrible compared to what it used to be and could be again. Its pretty much becoming a desert, when once it was the thriving Savannah. Its the same when people say Scotland's heath land is stunning. Its a dying landscape. The Mediterranean is pretty much a barren waste ground compared to what it should be.
What a headache of a video: fragmented shots of the interior that prevent comprehensive presentation of the architecture, broken by annoyingly emphatic and loud commentary whose duration increases with time. We got it has a pool; get on with it.
this house pales in comparison to what the actual ancient greece did, like Phidias Statue of Zeus, the colossus of rhodos, the temple of Artemis, the Akropolis or even the Pharos of Alexandria.
Yep, it truly pales ! But fortunately I had the opportunity to see some projects that will be built across the world in the next years. They overpass considerably the seven wonders of the ancient world !
@@mihails.6398 maybe in height or detail, but not in historical worth i fear. Since those ancient ones where built by people that technically shouldnt have known what 90 degrees, the density of material or the equator meant, yet they perfectly adapted to those. Would love to keep this discussion going but sadly YT is not a good place for that. Got any other way of keeping in contact ?
the heritage of the island's architecture and of the island's character is already lost with the huge construction activity that took place all the past 15 years arbitrarily and without any plan. The fact that this house is somehow landscape friendly does not make it pure or friendly to the island's basic idea. And thats because of the scale, which is enormous and totally out of the island's architectural nature and also because is built in the middle of nowhere.... were the landscape, as far as i can see, was totally untouched. So... no matter how impressively you try to point out the purity of the glamour and the privillege of these kind of "invasions" , tha fact is one. That the greek islands one by one are becoming more rotten and "old" and overpoppulated in summer and they constantly lose their innitial simple character. The most of the greek islands have already become extentions of the modern, overconsuming way of perception in every aspect. So enjoy the land and the beaches that were available for everyone, and now one by one are made private... but please.... dont speak about greek islands and their beauty. Their beauty and their truth died the moment everyone started speaking about them. Just think how stupid is to go to a tiny island and build a pool..... this is total sickness. Let alone all the rest.....
@@gahtsno1 for shit they have probably a cesspit. They gave so much money so i guess they may have exapnded the water supply pipe system too.. who knows.
I call it not genius... it is more a question of brutal force of money, combined with already available examples of subterrain buildings, like Ando in Japan did. Never mind, it is phantastic to look at..... but I still prefer my old wooden log house, where I can do all maintenance on my own in a reasonable time and the demand of energy is covered by local forests - co2 neutral.
