If you listen to the entire Ready to die album the 1st track he is born and the album takes you on a journey up until he kills himself. His next album life after death was the continuation of this album. This is why it will always be in my top 5.
Actually PAC went to High School here in the Bay Area and spent most of his adult years here. He got his start here with Digital Underground. You should do your research on Tupac.

Eminem is saying when he was underground he faced racism due to being white, no one would give him a chance, except Dr Dre. Then when Dre gave him a platform, he catapulted and got exposure no black rapper would get. So his skin was first against him, then it benefitted him. With that said, Eminem is as good of a rapper as the greatest black rappers, like Pac, Biggie etc., so he´s deserved his position.
