Jeannette is super sexy, but her character is also so frustrating. She is that weird temptation, her voice is sweet and sultry, and you can even have sex with her. But having sex with her is so unsatisfying, and deliberatly so. The sounds she makes are more grunts of efforts, and she just lament how boring it was after, because as vampire, there is nothing satisfying about sex anymore. I think of her every time a I see a curse in media that preserve the desire but prevent the satisfaction. Wanting to eat, but being unable to. Wanting to empathize but being unable to connect. Vampires are haunted by the memories of their lives, trying to recreate them in increasingly perversed and messed up ways in a desperate attempt to recapture the joys of it. But they can't. Jeannette is sexy, provocatrice, sultry, but not only is she unattainable, what she seeks by being that way is unattainable to her too. It's make up over a dead body.
