When I see all those friendzoned comments, I do start to agree with Amalthus. We really are regressing. That aside, this is still my favorite Track in the series, even after playing every main Game in it (from Xenogears to Xenoblade 3)
You know something gonna die when this song plays Spoiler warning for a game that's like 5 years old: - Himbo daddy Vandam - pyrah's will to live - any ships the community had with Nia and Rex.........which still happened anyways
@@pikapikadan It still has a legacy. I'm literally a newcomer to the series thanks to this game, after 6 years! Who knows what other people might be trying it out for the first time just now, but they are there!
@@SpringdayAutumnmoon Plus a movie. If you really want to compare my favorite anime to XC3, you need to include Rebellion. Also your might get a fun bonus if you played Xenoblade 2 in Japanese, specifically from a coincidence regarding a specific character.
@@reilly5005 The singing is fine, but awkward lyrics such as "If I could climb up to the top, would you be waiting at the top?" And "I'm not here at all, I don't exist here at all" coming out of nowhere prevent me from enjoying the song as much as I could. This is also an issue in One Last You ("Just like in slow motion, it moves so slowly"??? What???), so I wonder if the lyrics were translated too literally or the lyricist just couldn't think of good lines, lol
@@_Crowuh i don't know if It was Threehouse but they have a historic with weird lyric adaptations on Nintendo games (to name a few: Lost in Thoughts All Alone, Jump up a Star, Lifelight, Fire Emblem Engage's new main theme.) It It was them the responsibles for it i can see why the lyrics may be weird lol Honestly it's still a great song regardless
It depends really. Violin, in my opinion, would make for a better version in the cut scenes. However I feel the total power of it isn't as strong than the total power of the voiced version. Both are stellar, and I have heard this played live while at a con and let me tell you, the emotion an instrument can bring out is amazing. Overall both versions are amazing, I just think it depends on the moment.
Base game, or Torna? Xenoblade 2 pales in comparison to the first game, but I personally feel Torna is better than 2 because of the tweaks made to the mechanics.
xc2 pales compared to 1? every issue 1 had 2 fixed, from boring open world bad collectables and shitty combat is all fixed in 2, xc1 also didnt sell well on switch compared to 2 enuf said m8
@@zegunugu3162 At the price of non likable characters and bad VA? I just could not get into xb2 at all, it felt like such a downgrade to xb1. xb1s open world is amazing imo, and xb2s aint that bad at all, but its story, characters, and its Blades system really makes me just not like this game at all
I just heard it yesterday while going back to my house down the street in the afternoon after long day of school... It was a beautiful experience, I felt so free🥺
Fun fact: drifting soul has three different versions. 1. The one that plays at the Olethro playhouse where Vandahm dies and mythra gets reawakened. (Mythra ver.) 2. The one that plays in the Spirit crucible elpys when Nia reveals her form as a blade. (Nia ver.) 3. The one that plays when Malos and Mythra are fighting in their artifices which results in Torna getting sunk. (Torna ver.) Now for my (probably not that good) discussion on what makes the song(s) diffrent! The Mythra version: This one is the only one to have lyrics It has different instrumentation compared to Nia's version It's the one on the soundtrack The Nia version: This one doesn't have lyrics It has different instrumentation compared to Mytha's version The Tornan version: This one's a mashup of the other two, it's mostly Nia's version with some of Mythra's version put in there, so here are the Mythra version bits: From the start of the video to 0:27 Is Mythra's version 4:57 onwards becomes Mythra's version It's worth noting that it seems like stuff like Mythra's bass is blended into Nia's violin and other such things like the transition from Nia's version to Mythra's at 4:55 I Probably made a music expert cringe how badly I explained that but anayways it's funny how there's three different versions of this song and I like it. Nia's version suuucks though. Mythra version best version, especially 4:57 onwards. Fight me. Anyways good song.
Good comment, I think Nia's version might be considered worse than the others on its own. However Nia's version weaves in so well with the in game cutscene I think it might have been like tailor made for that. Not gonna fight you but to me the melancholy feeling of Nia's version just takes the cake :)
wow I can't believe how good this cookie recipe is, I'm a Nintendo lawyer looking for the instrumental of Drifting Souls but it doesn't seem to be here skip over this vid my fellow Nintendo lawyers
When Malos destroyed Auresco with some kind of laser on his flying gargoyle I think and Mikhail survived but not Milton that’s when the music drifting soul is playing
