Hey everyone, I'm JR from JrZ CarZ! I've created this channel to help out the RU-vid community with automotive items. My cherokee keeps blowing my rear passenger parking break fuse 😢 the ground looks fine, I've traced it as much as i could but cant seem to finde the problem. The fuse blows instantly
@@Whitpusmc I picked it up off of Amazon. The tractor has been great since, no smoke and runs like a champ. I've run front and back yard cuts 3x and no issues.
@@JrZCarZ I was able to get a set from Sears, I hope I have the same success. I’m less a mechanic than you are but have some experience repairing this mower, your instructions are very helpful.
I can't seem to get it to re-seat properly. I confirmed the two prongs are lined up and the front clip is in the slot of the white button but still doesn't want to slide in all the way. Any ideas what could be holding it up? Thanks.
I did this on my 2014 Escape 2.0. I leveled it perfectly on level ground at the right temp of 180* to 200*. Sometimes I get a transmission fluid smell in the vents...have you had that happen? I am thinking that I must have gotten some on the frame. Just concerned because I have had issues with another car in which I was told that smell was the transmission "venting" because it was overfilled.
Great video. I am getting new tires and they say to rotate them every 5000 miles, so you have to reset the TPMS every time you rotate. This will save me money from going to a tire place and having them do it for a fee.
I have a 2007 torrent it now has 120,000 miles with all the original parts including the spark plugs, the only thing that's been replaced is tires and brakes, Made in America 👍🤪🇺🇲
I own a 2022 Chevy Malibu and I ❤❤❤❤ it!!!!! I've watched TONS of maintenance and auto detailing videos on how to keep it running and looking awesome and it TOTALLY rocks on the road!!! Cool review of a GREAT car!! Thanks for posting!!
"A shop is probably gonna charge you $2000 for this" The shop is charging me $3500 to replace the water pump on my 2012 Taurus. I'm here to find out why. Lol
I purchased a new 2008 gold base 2WD March 2008. Sold it to my FIL March 2016. Really missed it He unfortunately passed 12/12/23. Left it to my former wife. She informed me yesterday I will be getting my Torrent back. I’m super happy, thank you Lord Jesus!!!!!!!! CB
Had issue with 2011 GMC Acadia. Video totally helps!!! For Acadia, just need to pull off top of steering column (super easy) then look for white part to push in to get key out. If you turn the key, you can feel the lock mechanism and the button to remove the key will be right there.
I have the same issue will try it. The second grounding that you strip back and replaced had heat shielding I saw other video stating you should replace them instead of electrical tape
No. It is not normal for this car or any car to burn 1 quart of oil per 1k miles. if this happens, ur car has a problem of oil consumption. I had the same car, same year and same oil consumption issue. To fix this, u have to do clean the carbon deposit off the intake valves and do a piston soak with chemical. I did both procedures and my 2013 Sonata Gls now does not have that oil burning / consumption. 236k miles and I had it since new in late 2012.
thanks for the video. I was a little hasty when the screen went blank for nearly a minute after reboot, not giving the system time to continue the install. FYI - an alternative to climbing into the fuse box, pull the battery terminal for a few seconds.
You're right about pulling the battery terminal, but.when you do that you also reset all electronics in the car so it's quicker and easier to pull the fuse than reset everything and have all the pcm learned parameters reset too
I know this is an older video wondering if you still have this car and the mileage it has now and any reliability issues you may have come across. I have a 2007 edge FWD model bought it 2 years ago with 56,000 miles and it currently has 93,000 now and hoping to get many more.
I WISH that I still had this Edge. The water pump failed, during the coolant into the oil which ended up spinning a bearing(I have videos on that if you look through my channel). My suggestion would be to have the water pump replaced with a good quality one. I would still buy another one without thinking twice just like this one.
Sorry to hear. If mine lasted to 182k I definitely wouldn't have been as mad as I am with mine only lasting 135k. Especially after addressing the oil consumption with the dealership and being told it was 'normal'.....
We appreciated this video; others we tried to watch about adding transmission fluid had poor sound,(as well as unhelpful music overall), and even bad language. This one was easy to hear, and understand.
Thanks for watching. Of course I replaced both. The passenger one is the same as the driver's side, you just need to use your brain to get it in. You have to move the coolant reservoir.
Getting the same Lightning bolt on my 2014 jeep Patriot, except i would also get the "traction control" light ( little yellow car with skid marks) both the bold and car would light up and then limp mode... Scanned the jeep and getting the same code. Throttle body replacement?
Yep I would start with the throttle body first to fix that problem and keep it from going to limp mode, then troubleshoot the traction control which could be a sensor or a ground issue.
@@JrZCarZ just replaced it, took about an hour. And honestly 30 minutes of it was removing the plastic piece that the electrical from the throttle bodys cord. (Not the clip to release the electrical, but the plastic clip that was connected to the intake hose) . The check engine light still persisted but I read this thing about turning the key to almost start position and slowly pressing the acceleration peddle in and slowly releasing it back to start post. Engine light has since gone away. Now I gotta take it on the highway and see how she handles. Preciate it!
Sorry to hear this , but I would call Scotty Kilmer and see him and he might make a video at which Huyndai will respond to his video, more then they will respond to your video .
I hope this works on my 2008 grand prix. The car is showing the front wheels needing air and it's the rear wheels getting flats. I've only had it a couple of months
JJM. DAT RELY IS NAT TO BAD I DIT MY WATOR PAMP. IIN 2 AOUARS AND STEOL HAD 6 PAC ANS 3 SEGURATS . AND NOU IS RUNG LIK A CLOK. ON MY WAY TO FINIXS ARISOUNA. FRAM SANATONIO . DONT NO WAY YOU HAD SOUU MACH TRAVOLS I JAST PUL THE MOTOR AND DITI SOU QUIC .MAN. GOOD LOAK. ON THEAT BETOR 🧐🧐🧐
What do I do if the screen keeps saying that one or more of my files were downloaded successfully? I have tried to reinstall them on the flash drive twice but nothing is changing
I dropped the pan and replaced the filter before filling it back up. Then once that was done I performed the 'flush' so clean fluid was being pumped through the trans.
simply insane how can a defective waterpump leaks into the engine oil on this ford "clown cars" it's ridiculous u can't trust this car brands for jack..
Our Journey (exact same driveline) was throwing C121C well as U0401 at the same time, (intermittent) lighting bolt of doom on the dash, limp mode and would hang at an 1800RPM idle in neutral. That gawd awful grinding noise though was the tell all that it was the TB. That Jeep and the Journey are a "mechanics dream" and an OWNERS NIGHTMARE!!! Thanks bud!
Yep unfortunately, it's the same stuff they put in across the platform. I'd bet if they didn't have the TB all the way down low and in front of the engine they wouldn't have this problem. 👍
@@JrZCarZ Awesome, I have an Amazon throttle bottle in the box waiting to be installed. My original throttle body hasn't had any issues yet but I figured I'll replace it as preventive maintenance since I'm approaching 160k miles. They usually fail because the gears inside for the butterfly valve are made of plastic and become brittle and break into pieces.
