I miss the days of the huge hype and big implications of the Golden Boot rivalry. Ever since Missouri joined they for some reason tried to force “the battle line rivalry” that nobody really even cares about, and now the battle for the Golden Boot just doesn’t feel the same anymore, it’s sad because LSU and Arkansas used to always be an exciting rivalry to watch.
Imo what makes the Michigan and Ohio state rivalry the best is the fact that it started before the football teams even played the first time. 1836 the rivalry between the states of Michigan and Ohio began after the conclusion of the Toledo war and carried over to the football teams. That’s almost 200 years of hate. No other rivalry can claim history like that
Yeah. Until we got good and they stayed mediocre. Then it transitioned to Bama with Saban, but with Saban leaving and Ole Miss getting better, I see them being our biggest rivals for the recent future.
College football is my favorite sport but man… week 0 has one good game every year. I get football is finally back and I’ll be watching that FSU game, but other than that, nothing is worth watching. Every weekend after this one I’ll be sitting down for 10+ hours watching games
@@SHclips1234as someone from Portland that’s lived in Arkansas I’ll always be 🦆 but them like Arkansas are the only show in state so locally we actually bleed our colors and seeing hog stuff everywhere reminded me of home just different
This is what happens when you have people with tons of money and no passion or brains, They are killing college football by not playing Washington vs WSU Oregon vs Oregon st, LSU vs Ark, Oklahoma vs OSU, West Virginia vs Pitt, Pitt vs Penn St, finally have Texas vs Texas A&M back. Get rid of the bankers, insurance agents, CEO and CFOs and bring back the Rivalries;
The eastern parts that border Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas I would consider southern, but anything on the west side of the state is definitely more midwestern
