hey from Australia, looking at putting 4'' portals on a brand new defender hd10 max. what are they like in traveling long continuous distance at around 50mph, 8-12hr through the Australian desert, will they over heat? cheers
Im curious what you would recommend for a tire for my car, i have 4 portals with 15% reduction, and currently have super atv XT warriors y for tires. I love the traction but they seem to be wearing down really fast as i drive on gravel alot and pavement occasonally to get to the mud, snow or dirt wheeling, i am looking for something that would hold up longer on the tread but still have good traction for wheeling. Thanks for info about toe adjustment as i just replaced steering rods due to snapping stock one into on a stump.
I have a 2023 Canam Maverick X3 XRC 64". I have Shock Therapy coil springs. However, there's nothing hardcore about my riding so I don't plan on removing the sway bars at this time. Am I understanding this correct...... The sway bars act as limiter to over travel? And if this is so, no need for limit straps until I remove sway bar/bars?
Accept the damn ringer bolts still work themselves loose even with the retainers added. I think it makes logical sense to have the thread pitch left hand versus right hand so a self-tightening during its rotation.... Just my ignorant two cents..
I just purchased 4" 30% GDP portals from satv, was wanting to know your recommendation for tie rods? I have a 23 KRX 1000, rock crawling and technical trails at slow pace is my style, i live in south central Pa and try to get out to windrock a couple times a year, wish i were closer to Tennessee..Lol, thanks for any insight you can offer, im also running satv boxed a-arms 1.5 forward offset and 40" motoravage tires on sti 18" 6+1 wheels
Then I explained that you guys have equipment on hand to deal with this stuff. We don't need much more than winches, straps, and maybe a snatch block in my area.
What gearing are you running in your Portals ? 15% or 30 % . I’m wanting 4” portals with 37” tires and I’m not sure what percent gearing I should get for the portals
@@SlikRokProductions my steering light on my 2019 turbo s just come on after battery died. I charged the battery, its brand new. the power steering unit still does not work. it is the factory unit. Do you know what could cause that? The fuse is good and it is getting power to it.
Yes, you guys are awesome and be sweet If you came back! I would like to see them try trail 23. It's the hardest trail at windrock no doubt. I have not seen someone make it without winching at least once.
