The voyage north eh? Bi Collin is a funny guy, always sending people back to the beganning. The king approves, but once you make it to the start, you have to go on the southern voyage, to find bi collin to tell the king where bi collin is, so the king can make it to a LARP event. The king is waiting in San Antonio Texas for an invite to the battlefield and the newest bicolline event.
The chemise is from Reminisce Shoppe, but the plaid piece I made from leftover fabric and the skirt I bought on site at Bicolline my first year🙏✨So no additional links to throw your way, I’m afraid😊
So I was sleepily watching this, my cat curled up on the rug under my recliner, when I saw the clip with your cat & it looked like my Harry had just climbed into the video 😂😂😂😂. He wasn’t on the rug anymore anyway 😂😂😂😂 He came back for the fashion show!
Absolutely love this!😆Our sweet Sage actually passed away not long after I made this video, so I’m very happy she was such a lil star throughout💕Give my love to your Harry!😂✨
Oh, this sounds like such a wonderful time! I love the concept of a monthly newspaper and longform letters as a game mechanic (especially with how easy it can be to freeze up). The little vignettes along with the gentle music made this video a nice and calm video to unwind with after a trying day. Thank you for sharing this artwork with the world. Hope you have many more experiences as neat as this one!
Aww thank you so much! It truly was a lovely way to game and I’m definitely keeping an eye out for more of the like to play in the future. Hope you have a better day!
So there I was sitting here watching the video. I have seen the voyage north for years upon years upon years, I take a sip of my water and hear you say "monthly payments" I haven't gone because of how expensive it is. I need to save but have other responsibilities here that take money of course. I proceed to spit my water a bit because not a single place has even REMOTELY talked about a payment plan. Please tell me how Thank you for reading this
I honestly wish I could confirm or deny if the travel package I went with back in 2017 and 2019 still offers monthly payments, but I haven’t a clue anymore. It did help a lot financially to have the large lump sum divided, but you would have to get ahold of whoever is in charge these days and ask if they are still using this method. Sorry that I can’t be any more help!
I had a very *very* large suitcase where my axe actually fit comfortably inside, but for things like archery, my archer friends checked theirs as oversized luggage in ski bags or golf bags if they couldn’t fit them in their regular suitcases. Hope everything gets there safely for ya!
I’ve found that large suitcases or a large (but within the dimensions allowed by airlines) Rubbermaid bin are perfect for getting in all the gear when flying. Just make sure to also buy luggage straps to make double certain that the lid will stay on.
I don’t have a packing list, just a general conglomerate of things gathered months before I even leave, but my biggest piece of advice is to get a good sturdy plastic bin like what’s used for moving. Airplanes will let you check them and they don’t get soaked or have their contents ruined in bad weather the way a suitcase does. Plus it doubles as a nice surface in your tent at the event!
I miss flying so baaaaad... (let's just not mention how much we all miss LARP, shall we?) I guess a shoey is bad only for the first person who drinks...? Must be definitely disinfected after the third or fourth round xD
This looks like such a great experience!! I wanted to do Bicolline 2020 soooo bad!! I was saving money for it and sewing my dresses and practicing my mandolin 😭 hopefully 2021!
That means so much to hear, thank you! Hoping the Bico blues can be kicked for a lot of people next year😅And yes to the hammer but no to the Althing, just a momento from Zarabeth’s father✨
@@sister2sister896 Oh yeah, it's pretty hard for the bico blues... Really hope next summer will be on. But, more time for more projects! And nice, that's very sweet! SKAL nonetheless!
Unfortunately I won’t be able to return likely for a while, lots of life changes going on that I’m excited about but are taking precedence financially :) But I hope everyone who attends enjoys it so much!!
I'm sad that was your last year for a while but I now feel so much more lucky that I ran into you and got to say hi!!! It was my first year and I had been watching your videos getting ready to go so it was a treat to be able to see you in person and say hello :) Thank you for not being bothered by the way! I hope you get there again sooner rather than later :)
I hope you understand even an inkling of just how happy it makes me to hear that! It was such a joy the few times I was recognized and I loved every interaction. Thanks for saying hi! :D And I hope when next you manage to return if return you do that you would enjoy it all the more! Second time around was my own favorite for sure :)
@@sister2sister896 I hope to return as soon as possible! My whole guild is American so I hope when Bicolline is open again that the border is too and I'm not the only one there.! It won't be the same without my beloved friends :) And I'm glad you enjoy people saying hi! I was nervous of interrupting your vacation. It really does make us happy when we see people from online and can say hello and they are happy about it and not bothered :)
@@sister2sister896 I'm super glad then you were as happy as I was :) I will say hi again if we bump into each other another year. And yes, crossing fingers and toes over here!
Hey, I just stumbled upon your Treasure Planet JimxZara stories and I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THEM! Your writing is honestly fantastic and is making me want to read Charting Stars-one of the other works I found recently. I suppose I'm now asking-because I've finally found your channel-do you plan to continue where you left off on "Hope of the Heart?" I want to say that it is truly incredible and it left off on quite the cliffhanger. I sincerely hope you do, there aren't words to describe how wonderful those FanFics are. Until then, I'll be checking out your other works. Stay safe!
Awww thank you so very much! I honestly have only just recently been rereading my older stuff on there, feeling nostalgic. And especially now that I can no longer write for Charting Stars I’ve been pondering finishing “Hope of the Heart”, so maybe so! Thank you for the encouragement, so much appreciated <3
@@sister2sister896 That's absolutely wonderful to hear; you are so welcome! I actually wanted to ask...would it be alright if I turned your fanfics into comics? It's something I've been wanting to do (even though I'm only a juvenile artist, haha) as a potential project. May or may not happen, but only with your permission, of course. Would be posted on DeviantArt with all credit given. Hope you're well, and thanks for the response!
TheFoxyPal thank you so much, truly! And yes please, would love for you to do so! And thank you for asking permission, I heartily consent and look forward to seeing if ever you do so!
@@sister2sister896 Oh, thank you so much! I don't know how active you are on your DeviantArt account, but I'll send you a note with a link when I have the first few pages done!
I'm dying to go, and now I have to wait another year. ~headdesk~ I mean, like, I'm glad they cancelled to keep everyone safe, but maaaaan, the feeeeels. Maybe I'll be healthier for 2021 though, so I guess that's a positive. I hope to see you there some day.
Tips for being warm while sleeping on a cot - remember that air is below you. You can layer all you want on top but you will still be cold if you don't have enough insulation underneath you. Wool blankets work well as your bottom layer and your top layer. - they are moisture wicking and will keep you better insulated than other materials. - use a cold rated sleeping bag or down quilt - avoid those synthetic 'fuzzy blankets' Fuzzy does not necessarily equal warm. Flannel, fleece, wool and down work better. - Keep your feet warm- wear socks, use a hot water bottle ect.. You video was lots of fun!
mojo jojo in all honesty, I couldn’t tell you how any of the online game works. All I know is that after I registered on site my first year at Bico, I got log in information that let me in to look at their *really* cool map. Other than that? I think you do have to pay a membership fee to actually do anything of consequence for yourself or whatever guild you’re in if you have one, but I wouldn’t advise quoting me on that😅😂
@@sister2sister896 Only by taste memory, because those women struck us in the middle of the street with a bottle filled with it, I'd say probably a mix of what was left of various fruity drinks with probably some everclear or something. I don't know... Even they didn't 😂 That thing was E X T R A strong!
Nice video!🌞 is this anyone here who will go to Bicolline for 2020?🌻 It’s my first and i dont know anybody. sorry for my english it’s not my first language. I’m a french Canadian.
I was planning on going to Bicolline with a friend but with all the precautions regarding COVID-19, I am unsure of going. What are your thoughts, is Bico still going to happen?
namjunshine I honestly haven’t a clue😅Just like how they had to postpone the Purple Ball, it would depend entirely on Quebec lifting the “no more than 250 people per event” rule. But August is a ways off still. Lots could change
You were literally the greatest! It was so amazing seeing your videos and then getting to see you are just as incredible in person! A highlight of my experience! #BellusForever
Sarah Sewell thank you so much! I’m honestly flattered by your wanting to know, though I’m sorry to say that even though I am a published author now, the graphic novel series I had started with a Canadian illustrator will only have one book of my doing. Through a change in plans from the publishing company, I’m no longer the author for the future continuation of the series, but here is the link to the book I was able to do with them two years ago: whimsicalpublishing.ca/shop/charting-stars-book-1/
Rachelle Carley and no, I do not have a recommended list, usually I find myself just making it up as I go months before the event, even planning out my daily outfits to make sure I don’t under or overpack. Hopefully😂
Rachelle Carley my trip costs have fluctuated greatly between my two treks and the ones I would plan for in the future. One big factor now is that Bicolline has their own exponentially more affordable travel package (including meal plans and tenting) which is as equally English-speaker friendly if not more than even other American-based companies. Atop it all, my travel will always cost more than the entire trip combined because of how far I need to fly and then drive to get there. So I’ve usually spent roughly between $2,000 and $1,200 USD on either of my trips, but hope to have when next I go be far more affordable still.
