I first set up this channel so a few friends could listen to some covers I recorded on my Fostex MR-8HD without having to send MP3s by email. I then bought a video camera as the urge to try and sync video with the audio from my fostex became irresistable as well as the thought that the videos might have some value to strangers.
LOL... they are torn down and smaller luxury apartments and businesses built there now. Maybe you live in the part North of San Felipe that is still there. they used to stretch far, far down fountain view. they are were I lived during 90's grunge

use a mixer line into it or get a mic pre amp i got USED TASCAM DP01FX the same i could not use phantom power on it so i use my mixer and line in mine sounds good
the manual can be downloaded. I only used mics that did not require phantom power and that used XLR cables. Mine is kind of packed away but yes, if you have a condesor mic I think you do have to turn on phantom power. I have never owned such a mic.
HELP!! I can't get my mic to sound. I've already tried 4 different studio condenser mics, and nothing. Bought new plugs but still no sound. Could it be the phantom power? If so, how do I change the settings? I don't have a manuel, Please Help!
@ummagumma32 thanks for listening, I have a version with the solo but never got around to posting it, Maybe I will look into it. I don't mic my guitars. On this, I believe I used digital modeled guitar effects for massive vocal effects. Usually I use a $50 Alesis rack piece and $50 rack compressor. BTW The best way to use vocal effects is through the insert loop on track one as described in the manual. Are you going to post a Stones cover? I only saw live stuff on you site.
@MartialGuitarist6569 you can record any instrument either with mic or internally. But the unit has processors built in for guitar and bass. Therefore, you just connect the bass, choose a model and play. No amp required. You can also program a bass line just like with drums and the preset patterns have a bass line also. The test recording I have posted uses a bass although if you listened on a phone or laptop you probably can't hear it. Thanks for listening
This was made using MS movie maker (now called Windows Live Movie maker I think). The sound starts recording on my machine when I hit record. I load the video in first and then maybe pause it right where I hit record. I then add the audio and drag it so that it starts at exactly the moment that I hit record on the video. If I get that right it should but in sync. I then watch it to see if it looks ok or if the audio needs to be moved up or back a fraction of a second.
@thegreenway1994 if you mean to help sing the right notes - No, I don't know how or if you mean as an effect then again no...I don't know how but there are a lot of effects on the vocal effects preset I use and maybe sound similar? It would be some extra work to use that. I think you would have to type in the chords behind every measure which would be a pain for me. There is a harmony feature also I wish I new how to use but again think I would have to enter the chords.
