I mean exactly that, I don’t use an EAD10 anymore as I’ve switched to using mics on all drums. The cymbals I have here are called ‘SONICAKE’, purchased on Amazon. Very cheap but also quite useable.

There’s definitely a difference in feel between regular & mesh heads. I play the kit in the video (mesh heads, low volume cymbals) in my home studio for quieter rehearsal, but regularly play 2-3 time a week on my regular acoustic kit. I think as a beginner a mesh headed kit will be ok, but only if it’s not possible to have an acoustic kit. Any playing is better than none!

To be honest I’m not exactly sure what these settings were. Most likely the ‘Birch Comp’ scene with some reverb.

I simply attached the triggers and plugged them into the module and they worked. The snare was difficult to get a good response from so I'm no longer using the EAD10 as I've switched to close mics.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean. The mics are only picking up the cymbal sounds in this video as all drums have triggers on them.

I’ve been to one of their shows. You can literally feel the bass in your bones. It’s just the camera that likes to pick up higher frequency sounds like lead guitar.
