🇵🇹 💪, I remember when you used to do road racing on your bike. Saudades de ver um piloto português a nos representar na Ilha de Man e North West 200, Cookstown e Ulster etc.
The least inspiring run up pikes I’ve ever seen, so boring and also annoying listening to that electric motor. The main reason EVs will never take over from combustion engines in racing.
If he had the urgency as displayed in his last 1/4 of the run, most likely if he raced like that for the other 3/4, then it would be closer to a 10 flat. Regardless, he made it up safe and sound, and he had fun. Congratulations!
This is a pretty much production version. Other than putting in roll cage and amp for bigger engine sound (over 120 db for race regulation, no ambulance sound ,ike other EVs}. And swapped out tires.
It’s some Weapon great idea to bring an LMP2 car here . Engine doesn’t sound happy mind . Was it over something to do with anti lag ? On boost its fast as###k. He could Pull another 30-40seconds in this car with more practice😅
This thing is such a monster, definitely one of my favorites to watch go up the mountain. It sounds like it’s breaking up in the higher rpms; I wonder if he’s just riding the traction control and that’s what’s making that sound??
Nothing better than electric power. Lots of instant torque and it never runs out of steam, even with altitude. The thermic needs a lot of air, the electric does not need it. These are the cars of tomorrow and they will not suck the air out of our children.
For those bitter Europeans, if you knew the entire story, you would know that Unser coached Walter Rohrl on how to best attack the Peak. He also asked the engineers to tweak the car similarly to when he did the course which improved his time. He was also asked to come back that year, but he decided not to since he was retired, but still was asked to come up to the Peak to help Walter. He also said Walter was amazing and after Unser asked him to change his driving style and to watch videos on the best times, Walter changed his driving style which helped a ton.
La camera n'est pas idéalement placée dans la voiture pour qu'on se rende compte de toutes les sensations de cette belle montée. Dommage car Dani et la Hyundai l'auraient mérité !
