i don't like Umlauts cause when people request songs from me and i do a search in the magnifier and type in motorhead it won't show up in my search, for me time is the essense so i remove all umlauts and just use plain english lettering. much easier and quicker to retrieve songs that are requested to play
My station is 24-hours. How do I make a "queue" without the queue mixing in on the AutoDJ? Meaning, I have "packaged" shows and I need to put the songs in needed order and prepare them to play at a specific time. I know I'll have to do that with PAL scripts, but I need to populate a queue first, right?
You should be able to put the songs in the queue that you want to play in the specific order you want them played in and then save that as a playlist. You can tell the PAL script to open and load that playlist as a specified time. Having said that, I've never actually done it that way, but that's how it's supposed to work.
@@tldpodnetwork If you don't want AutoDJ to play those songs until the specified time, you'd have to make sure your queue has enough songs pre-loaded prior to start time that it doesn't randomly pull one of those songs.
Correct, both options work the same way, HOWEVER, there are times when you DON'T want to play anything else when your queue is empty. The best example being when you're done broadcasting your show and you are ready to drop the encoder. You don't want another song to start playing before you drop it. For me personally, I prefer to leave it on QUEUE rather than Auto or Manual DJ because I tend to forget to put it back to queue. :)
@@a2zradio oh i see, well i have mine set to keep 3 songs in the queue at all times in playlist rotation rules configuation. Also if i want to end my set i just make sure that when the last song is playing i switch it to manuel this way when the last song ends thats it no other song will start up. then just close the encoder and close out Sams
