Harteman Wildfowl is a small private non-profit collection of waterfowl, runned by Jan Harteman. What started of as a hobby grew into a lifelong passion for waterfowl and their conservation. I share this passion through my personal website and social media channels, as well as amongst other things.
Being part of some EAZA's EEP studbooks, my facilities have been checked by the studbook keepers to verify the quality of the aviaries. Alongside I agreed to fulfil obligations like annual reporting and data sharing through ZIMS, medical research, post mortem research and keeping offspring at our location until the studbook keeper has found a suitable new collection. As a private aviculturist I am reaching out to these professional EEP programs and want to be a part of them, and species conservation in general, for the long run.

It's funny how fast he's running to show his display to her face ever time she turns around. It really gives the feeling that he's not taking the hint and how utterly useless displaying is. It doesn't even look good when he's trying so fast.
Not yet, but their offspring goes to zoological institution. One of the females bred at our place, has been moved to Singapore (birdpark) for further breeding, close to their natural habitat. Future offspring might be reintroduced into the woods.
Hi can you gives me some tips how to take care of white rumped shama? I lives in Singapore I have 2 shama bird and those people who had this bird they use to cover the cages most time so are ths method really needed?
Mate honestly you know how to cook emu , boil them for 3 hours with a normal house brick submerged with the cooking emu after 3 hours frow the emu to the shitt house and thier you have it divide the brick up and enjoy cheers from Australia.
