Cool kit Mark! I hope to see you build it. I’ve got a similar kit from Revell called the T-Bone Stake. It’s got many of the same parts including the Corvair engine.
You and I are the same age and we started building about the same time as you may recall. I don't remember ever seeing that kit and while we might be old (?!) we aren't senile yet🤞🤠A corvair motor? Now ya gotta build it! Best to you and Amanda 🙏
I too am an old man. There was 5 in the series. There was the moon mixer. The the dargoober wagon. The medicine show wagon and the bone Shaker along with the meter cheater
Try again.......This is my area of the hobby. I loved Showrods kits and they were my main builds for many years. I just finished a Meter Cheter kit late 2023. That is a Renault nose on the model.....a 1/32 scale nose!!! If you place the Revel kit nose with the Pyro 1/32 scale kit....exact same size!!! There are FIVE revell kits that use this same engine chassis. Meter was also sold under the AHM label. If there is interest I can make a short vid on my build. Thanks

Way to crack the rare cellophane, Mark. That's about 150 - 200 there. Have fun with it. Its part of a series of 5 kits with similar parts. That plastic will probably be a bit brittle. Here is a fun fact. The box art is by Dave Deal. He was commissioned by Bob Paeth who was the designer behind the series. That guy in the back of the cab...That's Dave's rendition of Bob.

The only one I actually remember was the Moon Mixer. GREAT back story! I wondered at first if the figures came in the kit! LOL Oh wait!! We have 3D printing now! We can make our own Bob for the back! I saw one of those in a department store when they came out. Now I wish I had bought it. It's mostly flat parts, so it could be scratch built easily. That guy is a real pal,👍👍.
I had that kit back then, I regret not building it. I have Starbird's Predicta. I will build it. Would like to find a Beatnik Bandit kit, at a reasonable price.
Here I thought you were a native Carolinian. 😂 I spent about five years in Knob Noster, MO working on the B-2 in the USAF. It’s amazing what some people can do with such small pieces. That’s cool! Peace and love.
Thanks brother!! I was born and raised in Greenville SC until I was 13. My dads calling to the ministry moved us to Missouri. I really enjoyed my years there and have some great friends to this day! Well Mark, Ron was inspirational in me setting up a channel too, along with a couple of other modeling guy's Diecast is also a passion of mine and both go hand in hand in my books and work room. He does some great work for sure. Cheers JV
Thanks for doing a video on this! 1/64 is where I go in to custom building and painting with the little Testors paint bottles. I thought that those bottles were so cool lookin. It all lead up to how I build now, great memories!
