As accomplished as Keith is there’s usually a flaky bit in his songs that doesn’t ring true. To me it seems aimed at women to sell albums and concert seats. Is that possible?
I don't know why Lanier is working at Microsoft, probably to know what is happening in depth, Openai uses Azure, that is, the next Openai is going to be from Microsoft. 49% ownership + complete training of own models. But I got the feeling that Lanier is trying to give us a big warning anyway, when openai tries to antoporfimize every second he says the opposite and defends.. keep that in mind. Brilliant interview from both of them.
15:06 Josh takes the time to cogently articulate the concerns of voters on the right, and Glover brusquely dismisses them with "that's what Hitler did". That's like equating the left's political correctness and collectivism to "what Mao did". Maybe if the right hadn't been so dismissed for decades by the ruling elite on the left, they wouldn't have felt the need to resort to more aggressive tactics to be heard. Josh says that he disagrees with what Israel is doing, but couches it in terms of what he would prefer Israel to do instead. I'm very curious if he would agree with the leaders in Israel who have perpetuated war crimes to be punished for said war crimes.

Tim was literally receiving like USD$400k a month from Russia, I would not be surprised at all if Candice is also receiving funds from Russia. But I think you’re right that they would do it for free even if they weren’t being paid, they just hate America.

If Keith believes that his dead father is listening to him then he believes there might be a Heaven. He has this t-shirt that says God is love. So knowing that he He believes in God gives me a bit of peace because I used to think he was an atheist. I know Nicole is Catholic so my prayer is that he finds Jesus. I love people of all faiths. But as a Christian, I would love to see Keith love Jesus. Perhaps he doesn’t want to lose Jewish fans, for example. Or maybe it’s not cool to say that you are Christian. Keith is cool. I will keep praying for him.
Deep thoughts. I’m thinking about the contrast of wanting to know what it’s all about vs “It doesn’t matter”. But, the flow state, I totally get the flow state. It’s the best feeling and I can see the comparison between that and navigating a river of life. It is strangely comforting to know we can’t comprehend everything.
This has to be the best interview I've seen. They talk about things that you never hear from other interviews. It went by way too fast! I throughly enjoyed it! Thank you both for making my afternoon more enjoyable. ❤
