Absolutely classic soundtrack, fitting so well with the dark atmosphere of the show, beneath the uplifting opening lies a depressing world that has no hope. There are things in it that can only be understood by adults, especially if you are familiar with Japanese culture and history. The messages in the show are still relevant to this day, I am just glad I get to watch it now, shows like this just don't get made any more.
With intensive computerizations today. what we've got in modern days are many Shonen Jump nonsenses. Even if DemonSlayers did have sorrowful beginning so similiar. (Both Tetsuro and Tanjiro lost their respective mothers). What we've got from DS is that with the likes of Zen'itsu (Too many heartbroken, reveals very early), and Inosuke (Also lost his mother to the same villain like Count Mecha but much much more powerful). What dramas DS gave out (as per Tanjiro narrative) still only 'close to' what Matsumoto and Toei Doga has left his everlasting legacy to us (and how Tetsuro gets through so many ordeals for Two years and some months WITH (or sometimes, without) Maetel). and with so much effort with all hands drawn cel by cel animations.
I can truly understand how the feeling goes. It really does convey that feeling of that. Even though not familiar with japanese culture but it can be somewhat similar lives here in the former or present-day ussr. I'm already grown up now living my life now and i could see how hard the message goes well with it on how it depicts with life experiences. it's kind of similar to like band kino for example.
