Hi guys awesome camp spot and what a view 😱 when following your car do you use active track ? love the drone shots 👍🏻 glassed out means wind kicking the sand up and blowing it around ? Thanks guys safe travels 🙌🏻
Hey! Thanks for watching! Jake flys the drone manually, no active tracking but yes you can have that setting on the drone! Glasses out means no wind, no sand flying up and the water is super flat 👌🏻👌🏻 the best time!
There are several ways into Barred Creek this entrance is the northern most, ive seen 6 mtr vans being towed 3 or more kays along the beach from other entrances
The wife and I have been off grid for six months so far and we couldn’t be without our Ogo. Will have to try the no water method now! We’re only getting about 7-10 days out of it putting in a third of a brick. I’m forever adjusting the pee sensor too. We use Coles doggy bad for toilet paper, one bag for one event. I like the idea of just having an airtight bin though. What you guys using to clean the bowl, underneath the trap door and stuff?
Love our ogo! Yeah there’s a few things that could be better. We just use wet wipes as we have kids so they are always handy. Thanks so much for watching means alot
Yeah at first we put them in the toilet but found it’s was getting stuck when turning so now put them in an airtight container now. Thanks heaps for watching 🤙🏻
Hi love the video , i fitted a OGO to our van and we just love it ,easy to use and clean, we use about 7 lt of the 15lt brick with 500 mill of water works for the two of us , best time line we have got is just under 3 weeks , keep up the great work and travel safe.
So your saying you can bury your waste from ogo, but some people frown on burying waste from conventional toilet, I've seen plenty do it without any problems, each to their own , whatever works at the time i suppose, cheers
If you mean burying waste from a chemical toilet then yeah you wouldn’t catch me doing that due to the chemicals. as for composting toilets I believe it’s fine to bury as it’s all natural and will break down. Thanks for watching means a lot 🤙🏻
Just got back from a 6 week trip using our OGO with a family of 3. I don't see how anyone gets 5 weeks as the manual says its only good for up to 25 dumps. Must be some serious constipation going on in those families. Do the math, I reckon that number is about bang on. I only changed it twice on our 6 week trip but we were using toilets at parks as well. Was looking like it was composting well both times I changed it, no smells, no mess. I add water but a tip I got off the importers here in oz is just slowly add it and agitate it at the same time. Once the coir peat is catching at the sides a bit that is it. Too much moisture is your enemy.
Yeah I know right I can’t get any longer but I’m still stoked I don’t have to use a dump point anymore and stay off grid longer! Ahhh okay might have to give that a go and see. thanks so much for watching and supporting us means a lot 😊
Great video,we looked at the Ogo and cuddy and decided on the cuddy as it is $500 cheaper, doesn't have a motor to breakdown and the red light is on top so it is easier to see when it comes on,we use a third of the 15 litre brick and add about 700 mls of water and for 2 of us it last 3-4 weeks 😀
Sic video. We’ve settled on the cuddy composting loo for our next set up, similar to the OGO. I guess there is 5 of you, you must have been always going to dump points 😩
Nice review review BUT there is a much better way! First up ANY urine separating toilet is a win over a cassette chemical toilet. I think the OGO is one of the nicer designs for a "stir the solids" type. Go a urine separating toilet with a bag liner in the solids. We tried a few toilets and now use a Trelino Evo, has a bag liner in the solids. It's a game changer. No having to mix compost material, not stir the solids, to empty and refill takes me all of 3-4min and I am done. Tie off the bag, lift out bag, your done. We just throw in a handful of mini hemp (rabbit bedding) after each solids use. As far as "composting toilets" even if you keep your solids for a few weeks, no one is composting. it takes 9-12 months for human solids to safely compost. With a bag liner you can still use a compostable bag liner, and eventually the bag and connects will compost just like a stir the solids type toilet.
Hi thanks for watching 😊 yeah I felt the OGO had the upper hand over the ones I was choosing from. Yeah so a friend of ours have an OGO and the cog broke in the base and they are doing exactly what your talking about but in the OGO with the bag! Might have to give it a try would definitely help with the change over much cleaner haha 😜 thanks again for the support means a lot
We go away for weekends and 2-3 week short trips, and have an OGO. We would not be without it and leave the solids section filled to continue to compost months at a time before we empty and set up it again. The last time, we set it up at the end of March, then emptied almost 6 months later. The longest we were living in this van was 8 weeks and we prefer to camp off grid. There’s only 2 adults, and we’ll use a public loo if one is available, but I love our OGO. We had a Natures Head (We lived in the van continuously for almost 6 months between empties) before this one and prefer the OGO. We just empty the urinal most days and haven’t had any issues with it overflowing. Like you, we’ve noticed the sensor light coming on even when it’s empty, but it doesn’t seem to last long. We have a bag of composting solids sitting on the back deck at the moment, you know, composting. I made sure to tell hubby what it was, as earlier this year, he opened a green garbage bag up and stuck his head inside it while asking what was in the bag……. Then realised what it was 🤣🤣🤣💩💩💩💩💩💩
Wow that’s a long time that would be nice! Yeah the OGO definitely has the upper hand I think at this point in time. Oh dear yeah that would of smelt great 🤢
@@Thehangertribe that’s the thing; there was no smell and it just looked like garden soil. It was just the idea of it that surprised him ☺️☺️☺️. We’re used to using public toilets when they’re available as we did so for years before we had the “luxury” of a cassette toilet and I’d wanted a composting loo for years before they became readily available. I’d have one at home if I could. 💩💩
Thanks mate! I wish there was more reviews when I decided to install the toilet so I thought why not do one myself! Hope it helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Um 🤔 first off the drone shots were awful no slow mo and no beautiful music not much content about where ya staying no amazing scenery shots and no mention of the triple 60 backflip 🤷🏻♂️😂😂😂😂😂😂 mate best review on RU-vid hands down it’s 12.20am here in the uk and I’m watching a loo review……..stoked to say the least I’ll sleep well tonight knowing I can get a caravan toilet with a dodgy sensor for $2k 😅 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@Thehangertribe mate gotta be done I’m sure it helps other people who watch 👍🏻 it’s all part of camping 👍🏻 the 4wd hire company we’re getting our camper from gave us the option of a portable toilet which we’ve added so I watched with eager eyes but not sure how ours works as it’s a portable one but hey ho I’m sure we’re be shown then I can do a toilet review 👍🏻😂 looking forward to the nice video stay safe and safe travels 🤟🏻
They’re all great camping spots. Love the drone footage, I haven’t been that game to fly out to the whales as knowing my luck it would ditch in the sea.

Hey guys awesome video 👍🏻 loved the drone shots……when driving down the dusty road do you use active track and just move the stick to get different angles shots ? cracking camp spots and such beautiful scenery! safe travels guys and thanks for sharing such a great adventure 🤟🏻
Great video guys 👍🏻 tunnel creek looks amazing what a rush gong in there…..Im really trying to put it on our list but the furthest we’re going on the gibb is el questro and tunnel creek is about 770kms from there so with time constants I don’t think we’re manage it this trip 😢 Anyway new drone 🙌🏻 same as mine and yes it’s a must to get the care package! now you can give Aaron a run for his money with the drone shots 🤟🏻 awesome guys enjoyed that episode safe travels see ya on the next one 👍🏻
