I videotape things and I have a bunch of old videotapes that I sometimes digitize from tape to publish here. I also publish videos of various bands that I've been in.
I love his Jerry tie dye. Japanese audience seems very respectful of the music. also very happy audience. Merl's organ playing is awesome, along with all the players,
Holy crap I stayed in that Motel this night. Prostitutes on the PayPhone all night, and the pimps wouldn’t let me make a call. The only channel on the tv was b grade porn. I’m still haunted by the one with the rubber snake.
Meadowlands is in New Jersey not new. York great shows security was bad but I walked right in past securely into the concer with a. Full case of bud nips And I can prove it ps I shared with every one passed them all out to all my dead head friends
I was there. Had a ticket one night and got shut out the Dark Star night. Tough ticket and an even tougher lot. The stories of the yellow shirts randomly beating the crap out of Heads was underreported. It was not a good scene by a long stretch.
Found myself randomly in Breckinridge in a snowstorm merl was playing at a hotel or something small we all hung out it was so cool. Great people great music maybe March 97 96
big mail order dilemma being Canadian 🇨🇦 all to often postmark for summer tour tix fell on Victoria Day Monday and post office was closed for the long weekend ⚡️ meant road tripping to Calais, Maine in order to catch the date stamp on the envelope 🏴☠️ GDTS always came through not only on every single show request but usually seats in the sweet spot under the shed 🎟
This guy was with the band for such a short time.. yet every single note rings as true of pure OG Owsley lightning juice (for lack of a better term), as watching Hunter or Barlow or even Neil Cassidy recite Poetry... Not the band we know.. yet ALL the vibe.. Bravo
It's like belro type music or an orqistra Mozart or wangner or any famous type music even reggae or blue's or even Horice silver or miles Davis or jazzy stuff there nothing like a great ful dead show soo many good show s Allman Bros Santana the list goes on! The "genuine blues" as they were meant yo be played. And note it was CBC/Canadian Broadcasting System production. This was during the time when most Black musicians were barred from appearing on national TV in the USA save for Louis Armstrong, Basie, The Duke and a few others. Even Nat Coles weekly US TV show was cancelled. During that time CBC produced a weekly show featuring Sammy Davis Jr. and it was top drawer. just sayin !
I always thought Robbie was really good looking and sexy. However, when Rick was younger there were something special about his personality and looks, like when he sings "It makes no difference" in The Last Waltz, such emotion, coupled with his looks back then, definitely my favorite.
whod a think the 80s would have been the good ole days? The last shakedown lot I was in was full of pill and meth heads literally robbing each other. Seemingly just there for the drugs and easy cash. GDTRFB
