Man I’m glad I found this video, my tuner they blocked the right hoses but never filtered the right ones, they had me put filters on the blocked ones 🤣🤣🤣 had me getting engine codes for bank 1 & 2 being too lean I’m gonna fix it in the morning and hope this is what solves my issue
@@red-bd3mc I think you’re referring to the VQDE the DE is safe at 450 but reaching 500 whp I think it would only be a matter of time before it blows, I know the VHR is known to handle 600 reliably since this is a VHR block in the video, but many times people have blown their VHR block when they get cocky and wanna pass 700 whp.
@@DEATHWISHVQ nah man... im referring to the vhr. sure u can do 500-600whp... but it will eventually let go. its just a matter of time. its not really the whp its the trq. the rods are tiny on the vqs. also they are open deck block. and they are N/A from the factory which means the ring gaps are set for an N/A motor... which need to have more of a gap on a boosted motor as they run hotter. trust me... youre not having a vhr 600whp last more than 20k miles. unles u drive it like a .... wooss.
@@red-bd3mc hmm yeah that makes more sense. Because I know dyno queen cars make a lot of power at the dyno ofc and it’s impressive and all but there’s never an update video 10k 20k 30k miles later. How does an NA setting ring gap affect the engine when under boost? I’m not an expert on what ring gaps do or how certain things may affect it.
@@DEATHWISHVQ the gaps on the N/A cars are smaller versus turbo cars. The turbo cars get much hotter inside the combustion cylinder. Hence having an n/a gap ring on a turbo car could cause them to bind up. End of the day... if these motors handled 600whp taking a beating .... and never skipped a beat... ppl would swap them into e36s and other builds ... rx8s... just how they do the 2jz. But clearly the vq isn't build to last at such power levels.
I think with the comments asking question, there should be a build video available. This would generate a lot of views and help a lot of people interested in doing this swap. I’ve looked online and there doesn’t seem to be a clear cut engine swap guide. A lot of keyboard warriors that take to forums and shit on ideas but nothing concrete. Either way, if someone has done this, it would be a good way to get a lot of views if they put together a video.
i agree dude because im thinking of doing a swap in my 2004 Nissan Pathfinder LE Platinum ed.R50 going from the VQ 3.5 DE to a 5.6 V8 but i want to keep my turbo transmission in it, not that the 3.5VQ DE is not good, just want a lil more pulling power out of it, that would be a bad ass swap, also to mate with my exhaust set up on it with the Flowmaster. this video reminds me of my R50 dustin clowns on a daily basis the 3.5VQ DE is NO JOKE problem with it now is its running hot allot so i want to swap now.
Do you guys have any more videos on your heatwave/flame map on DE’s getting remote tuned by you guys within a few weeks just been looking for some more content on the heatwave
wow I thought her nails were dirty because she just got done changing the oil .....UNTIL....I seen that oil maintenance dummy light. I haven't decided if its sexy yet.
