An ageless masterpiece of minimal techno! The minimalist composers like Steve Reich and Philip Glass pale in artistic brlliance next to this gem and other works by Richie Hawtin. 🎉
This song is beautiful and romantic. It makes you feel like wanting to make love to that special person in your life or your wife. The vibe of this song is so beautiful and elegant.
I have left instructions that this should be the entrance music to my funeral. To be played whilst people are getting themselves seated. It was an important album whilst my wife was pregnant with our son. I would play it in the hope that the deep beats would penetrate the womb, and our baby would hear it. Then, when he was born, I played it a lot to hope that he would be reminded of the womb when he heard it. Then, as he was growing I would occasionally play it and ask him if he recognised it from anywhere? He now recognises it as that album that dad did all that stuff with!! 😂
I listen to this almost every morning doing yoga. Reich’s rhythmic structures make it easier, for me, to focus on the breath. And I find this piece indescribably joyful which adds to the yogic experience. A wonderful combination.
This may just be the most beautiful song I have ever heard. The vocals are crystal clear and pure. The arrangement is perfect. The cellist nails the counter melody. I can listen to this over and over. I am very glad that this song was finally released and that I was fortunate to discover it! Why oh why was thing song as well as Love is in the Sun left unreleased all these years?
