hello! planning on going there, how did you book the boat ride from the airport to the hotel and then back ? was it through the hotel or upon arrival in the airport ? and how much did it cost ? thank you!!
Hi there Thank you for your comment. Our boat ride was booked by the hotel. They contact you upon booking so you can confirm your transfer with them. They have an option of a Seaplane and speed boat. We chose a Speed boat on the way to the resort but decided to pay extra for a seaplane experience on the way back to the airport. You will have to contact the resort for the costs as the rates tend to change all the time. They will arrange everything once you’re booked with them. -Lilac
Hey nice vid! Did yous have any trouble with airline changes? I’m looking to book some flights with the Qsuite but have heard they change the airlines alot
Hi, thanks they are known for their late equipment swaps. On our flight from Bali to Doha, they changed the plane in the last 48 hours but it worked in our favour as it was due to be a non-Qsuite flight but they changed it to a Q-suite one! It is the luck of the draw but an equipment swap has only affected us once in our flights with them. Hope you have an amazing flight wherever you go. Safe travels - Grey
@@LilacandGreyAdventures Yeah that’s what I’ve heard it’s all about the luck of the draw. Have you flew in any other Qatar business classes like the Dreamliner or the older 2-2-2 aircraft? Also choosing business, would you choose Qatar over Emirates - I’d hate for the flight on emirates to change to the smaller plane which has the 2-3-2 layout. Apologies for all the questions 😂
@@boywhocriedfoodlove all the questions. I've done everything in my power to avoid the old 2-2-2 layout so no experience of that. I have flown the dreamliner, a350, a380 as well with the other business class seat that I love too. Like having a drawer for your shoes is a nice touch. A380 also has the novelty of being upstairs and having extra storage at the window seats. Personally I prefer Qatar business over emirates business any day of the week. Emirates has the better in-flight entertainment for sure but service wise Qatar is so much better. Also nice to get PJs in Qatar while the Emirates seems to have cut back on those. Hope this helps! - Grey
Hi there, We loved Adam & Eve’s food the most. We were advised to reserve all the restaurants on our first night there as it can be difficult to book a reservation the night before. We found it a little difficult to reserve as people had booked restaurants a week in advance. They only had a table available at one restaurant “Cyann” every night (even last minute). Otherwise, Corossol (the main restaurant) was always open and had a theme night, every day. -Lilac
@@LilacandGreyAdventures Thanks. Yes I read similar that you need to book tables prior to arrival to avoid disappointment. I also read that for the themed nights in Corossol there is an upcharge even for guests on HB/FB packages which sounds strange. Can you confirm if that is a thing? Thanks again.
@@P1Fanatic I'm not sure about extra charges but in FB & HB (you get 2/3 meals) soft drinks are chargeable unless you are going for all-inclusive which means all soft drinks are included. We went with B&B and they even charged for filtered water, even though we had filtered water in the room for free. For food we had to pay a rate per person at Corossol, there weren't any extra charges for any food item but water was charged. We went B&B thinking we’d go out to eat but nothing was close enough and it got very dark very quickly with zero street lights. Would highly recommend booking in advance for Adam & Eve as it was quite popular and very limited seating. - Lilac
we are flying to Beijing in May..Refused to pre book seats at a charge as it costs enough to fly business..Flown business with Qatar before-with no charge for pre booking..only fault with BA
@@elaineleung-y3k Hi there We had Window Seats from LHR to MLE. However, on the way back we chose aisle “couple” seats. Please watch our other video for the return leg. - Grey
