Nope. If the hills on then I'm in the paraglider looking for a small xc flight. Winter will be upon us soon enough....then the hills will be fun to try out
Well that answers some questions! One is should I do it? Nope, don't have to now. Well done, theory is proven now archive the bugger! That foot drag was epic hahaha! Reminds me of the soaring video that seduced me into paragliding 6 years ago. Low proximity and seemingly endless ridge (I think it was in Spain or Portugal)
Flown some competitions this year ... Best C 2 liners in my opinion. Sky Merlin, Scala2, Photon, Artik R. In this order. Havent flown much with others wings to compare it to. I'm flying a scala 2. Its a very reliable wing. Merlin outclimbs it tho.
@@Ripstop_pilot Then I suggest you try out the scala2 if you have the chance or of course the bonanza 3. (did a 1 hour flight with it and its absurdly stable)
I do both and if I happened to be soaring an RC glider I’d always pack it in for paragliders. RC slope soarers can handle a huge wind range so have many more chances to enjoy their hobby whereas paragliding it’s once in a blue moon! Karen’s!
Great vid, was that a dispute with model aircraft club? Was talking to a sailplane pilot on Saturday during a paragliding event on the north mynd all he did was complain about the lillo's, thought he owned the sky.
I hope you enjoyed the wing, not too many of them about, which is a nice thing, loving mine and find that it climbs really well and love the handling of it. I find it can move about a bit, but its never collapsed on me yet. well no more than a 30% wing tip. and that was on its first outing in spain.
It's a good wing. Handling takes a short time to get used to as it is different to the other 2 liners I've flown. It does move a little more but never indicated any intentions of collapsing. Secure n fast.
I ordered a Summer Edition 18 metre yesterday 😁😁😁 for doing exactly what you've said: Even my C-class wing becomes unusable as the wind speed picks up on launch. But the Moustache will let me fly MORE 🤩🤩🤩👍 🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂
@@Ripstop_pilot Would you believe it? Trying to buy stuff in Germany from Japan ain't a piece of cake at all 🤷🏼♂️ It's been so difficult, the Summer Edition Moustache 18 stock was gone, before I could pay Flare 😵 So, I've changed to the Standard Colour scheme 😁👍 Anyway, thanks for the thumbs up, and I hope you can raise the cash to join the Moustache revolution sooner, rather than later 🤩👍👍
@@Ripstop_pilot Excellent news, mate 😁👍 I only saw the comment that it could take a while... ... I've been holding off spending anything on "toys" since 2020! But I decided, enough waiting. 🪂 Fly safe 😄👍👍
Hey mate I also bought a moustache last week. Absolutely love it. Also been thinking what harness will complement it. Decided on the Ozone switch hopefully when it arrives it'll be the perfect match. Looks like your are on the south coast wondering where about? Wouldn't mind paying a visit.
I think the wing is better with the lightest possible harness possible. Hope you find the right combination for you. I'm in the portsmouth area. Not many spots locally match its abilities and the one that does tend to catch wings quite often 😉🤣
Couldnt be more aware of the irrationality of fear. Of all the sports I've done, crashes I've had, for a bit of turbulence at height to have gotten me in such a mess is ridiculous. And that's what was more infuriating about it. A barrier to my joy of a sport I dreamt of as a child, appearing out of nowhere with no reason or way of stopping it. Still on the mend really but getting there. In the meantime, here I am REALLY enjoying stuff that is comparatively silly. 🤷♂️ go figure.
@@Ripstop_pilot I think it is scary because it is invisible and out of your control. At least with this stunt you are controlling the danger and it is obvious.
I got a Gin yeti convertible - pretty amazing and it has an attachable airbag with space for a reserve. The backback part is also enough for my full fat glider for hike and flies.
