Hi again. VoicePlay did this the week of my birthday and after listening, it felt like a birthday present. It stunned me and I had to go and listen to Metallica do it. I now know why Layne did the instrumental solo, in this case the violin and in Metallica the guitar. Geoff had originally done a vocal "guitar solo" and at the end asked Layne to break out his violin, only 3 times has he done this over 25 yrs. I really appreciate your commentary.
Once about 20 years ago I heard a prominent singer here in Australia explain that it’s pretty universal that most singers sing in what’s pretty close to an American accent. Not everyone and not in every possible instance…. But it’s the general rule of thumb.

Appreciating something despite not being from that country is (in a way) the point of the song. "From all the lands on earth we come" but we choose/chose to be/stay/live Australian. You might also like "I still call Australia home" if you haven't reacted to it.
