Battle Royale is one of my favorite movies. I remember when I first read the manga, and heard when the movie was coming out. Sucks that the movie was edited so much. They removed sooooo many things. And this inspired all the survival island movies and books
Yeah if you consume human meat 🍖 you'll have sex with your brother sister Mom Dad dog cat horse goat and anything else you can imagine.. i had this movie and can't find it now..
You're welcome man, we had a blast. Thank you as well for coming on and having a fun conversation with us, would love to get you on to review something with us.
That's awesome you were in this film, you should definitely be proud. Thank you for watching our review, maybe Colin can get you on for an interview with us.
I appreciate the longer, more detailed convo about this movie - most other reviews I see are very surface-level and seem mostly just frustrated the movie wasn't a vikings v. werewolves flick, or are whining because the werewolves aren't bipeds. And I have a LOT of Thoughts (tm) about it. ;p The main thing I'll say is I disagree that there should have been more violence - the violence wasn't the point of the movie, it was the vehicle to drive the point forward. I see this movie as about the way Liv and Thale's relationship is utterly broken, and because they couldn't communicate, sh*t hits the fan. So I thought the movie was more sad than anything else. Thale is alone through her whole (excruciating) ordeal (survivor's guilt, trauma, terror, self-loathing) when she absolutely doesn't have to be, if she'd only just reach out; and if her mom had just been paying attention more, or acted on her very obvious suspicions (the questions she asks in Brodin's camper make it obvious she knows somebody is infected, and the intensity tells me she wasn't thinking of the sheriff), maybe they could have figured out a cure or something for Thale, or at the very least, they could have reconciled before the transformation was finished. In the end, they don't get a chance to repair the relationship, and that stands regardless of whether the bullet on the side table was an extra from the collection or not. So it's frikkin' sad. I'm the kind of person that totally loves a good-bad horror flick, and doesn't shy away from gore and a pointless slasher, but I get the most out of horror that makes me think and feel something besides grossed out or scared. Movies like The Babadook or Hereditary, or anything by Mike Flannigan, are the ones I come back to and think of the most because the horror is a means to tell the story of the characters. So I greatly enjoyed this movie, because the werewolf stuff was a plot device to show us how broken that family was and that there was no saving it. But anyway, you got a new subscriber out of me for this, so thanks! I look forward to seeing more from ya.
I love your take on this and how in depth you went. It is always cool to hear others perspectives on movies. I really appreciate your comment and thank you for subscribing. Have a great day and I hope you have a great time with my content.
world peace!!:) for many years we’ve been in conflict and mistrust because of our own internal conflicts and interests colliding with each other and that all the external conflicts are caused by that!! so to help everyone, we must understand and really look at our own internal conflict to help the external conflicts subside!! so throughout history, we’ve been focused on saving ourselves and our own needs is that we haven’t been focusing on others and how we each can help each other!! this is because we’re wired to trust ourselves and only ourselves and with our own unique individual comfort zones that cause us to not want to change or be different!! to accomplish this together, we have to allow and celebrate our differences and be ourselves at the same time!! so we each can still have our own way of life and be happy with others who are different and every day have new and exciting ideas on how to have the world be more peaceful!! and we can slowly and at our own pace step out of our comfort zones and make a change in ourselves and encourage others, including our next generation!! because we all have the right to be ourselves and the happiest we can be and we can still have our beliefs and values individually and be with others, if we take the time to try and understand each other and then we can live in the world we’ve always dreamt of!! and we can or/and can’t do this only if you want to!! so please consider and share this with others to inspire and support!! thanks so very much!!
I thought the movie was good not bad but I wished it was a little bit longer. I was hoping to see the final confrontation between Freddy Krueger & Dylan.
