I’m a professional singer and I can show you the way vocally - based on my experience and years of teaching voice. Fun filled and informative channel for seasoned voice geeks, beginners and everyone in between.
@Rachel Gerrard. Compliments to your channel. You broke the subject down well and had interesting observations. I'll definitely watch more and throw your channel out to my friends.
Love this one - this is my new favourite warmup! If I'm being completely selfish I would request a country warmup, but not sure if it's needed, would you do anything different for it? I feel like this works well already?
Let me tell you: For so long I come across tutorials that bring up this subject a lot, from different perspectives, from narrowing the vowels to extremely lowering the larynx, in order to create this neutral placement to sing on mix voice. I was singing quite satisfactory until july 7, 2022, where I had to make septoplasty and uvolopalatopharyngoscopy procedures because I was having problems related to apnea. Some months have passed and I had some dificulties on finding my singing placements again, because I found that my voice wasn't corresponding in any way, even when speaking. This exercise brought me back to life again; because finally I can feel my voice at its full potential, singing in softer or havier dynamics without feeling I'm straining. I'll definitely look at your site. Thanks for this video; you surely saved me forever! Peace, Edu Camargo.
@@RachelGerrard pronunciation of the word. Medical words have different etymology therefore different pronunciations. Otherwise nice vid! Almost Christmas so Noel Noel!
He may not be the best singer, but his voice is very distinctive. I found he has a nasal quality that makes it all his style..very similar to Gordon Lightfoot in many ways🤷♂
I have ever seen an analysis like this and i have seen many try to accomplish that over the years. I've been following Sabbath and Ozzy since the early 70's and you taught me more in this video than anyone else has. Please continue this as you mentioned you might,I'm looking forward to at least one more part!✌✌😁
Filipino fans are so passionate about their home grown talent! I get asked so much to cover other Filipino artists - BUT I look at my subscriber demographic and I have VERY FEW FILIPINO SUBSCRIBERS! I’ll make you a deal….subscribe and I’ll analyse more Filipino singers 😊🇵🇭
Your Math is wrong, if the 25th anniversary you're talking about was in 2020 then Lea would be 49 years at that time, and would be about 53 years old now. And you do not look like you're in your 50's.
What an awesome episode. Thank you very much... she’s one of the best we have and we Filipinos are truly so proud of her. She not only have a great voice, she is also one of the nicest person I had a change to work with many many years ago.
@@RachelGerrard yes. Way way back. I directed a tv commercial where she was the main talent. In between breaks, I hear her sing under her breath, it was something. I was just grinning inside me imagining that she’s performing for me. She’s truly amazing. Very very nice person.
My wife, girlfriend that time, (already a creative director in one of the big ad agency here in Manila that time), beg me make her my assistant just to be near and spend time with Lea because she believes that she’s Lea’s biggest fan! 🤣 I can see how happy she was every time we hear Lea sings. It was really an amazing experience. My whole team had an amazing time working with her. 😊
Thank you for your honest comments about Lea Salonga who for me is a compleat world stage performer with her impeccable enunciation, most pleasant voice and commanding stage presence!
imo Liam and Noel's voices are borderline physically identical, the difference is entirely personality and choice and that makes them super interesting to compare. If you tried to sing like Noel, but with Liam's tone, you'd find that it just doesn't work because his whole vocal posture is oriented toward blasting out that brassy edgy sound, making it sound wide, SUPER speechy, somehow tight yet also chill, basically very nuanced shouting from someone who is very comfortable with being a shouty guy. Trying to take that and then sing with the subtlety of Noel is like trying to do a lap of Monaco without using the brakes. Same car, totally different result...
@@RachelGerrard she is not waaaayyy better. She is great in her own way, but Leah is on a diff. level though. Even Regine would not agree with OP's statement.
