Dick Long in Sonoma CA had The Ram Jester car on display with a diorama and the engine resting on an Engine stand..he had an amazing collection of rare cars. My son in law builds customs in Santa Rosa and got us a private showing..it was awesome!! I have the 1956 Chevrolet 150 utility sedan that was built by Pac Bell for use in Northern Calif...delivered phone books to my home when I was 10 years old..love all tri five Chevys...!!!
I wonder are there any other video's of this historic car since the time of this one ? I'd like to see a bit more in depth ,like showing us the special interior (with rear seat delete & the all important roll cage).
Hello! I’m located in the Middle East and I am trying to achieve a similar concept. I would reallly appreciate if I could get some advice on how to make?
I bet this car never sees the open road to stretch its legs ... grandad has one solid black same set up .. driven 100 mile loop every month Keeping ram jet engine alive ..
d+d isnt building a black widow replica, its just a black and white 57 chevy ...it already has a modern LS,modern tubular control arms, modern disc brakes etc etc....its cool but it aint a black widow.it just sort of looks similar
did you know most of the widows never actually ran with the fuel injection units in their time racing? it was discovered that the barometric pressures under the hood of the 150's wasnt right for these as once they got above 80mph the unit would start acting up, most of them instead ran with the dual quads as carbs were far more well known over here back then where as fuel injection was in its infancy here in the states where as the britts got a head start on us with it. From what i've heard they kept the fuel injection badges on for promotional sake or simply forgot to remove them.
UPDATE...this '57 will be cosigned to the Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction on January 24 thru the 31st, 2016.. there will be no reserve on this car.. the owner has also cosigned his serial #1 1955, 56, & 57 Corvettes to the same auction, those 3 WILL have a reserve price set.. for additional info check out the Barrett-Jackson web site.
