actually showing the railroad troops checking and repairing the rails and lookling for sabotage and mines. thats what these guys are doing in ukraine as well. the armourded train is more mobile repair station that has guns to scare away partisans.
the armored trains used during rhe Chechnyan war were priamrily responsible for protecting and repairing the rail lines against sabotours and demined tens of thousand of KM of track. they are vital to keeping these vital lines of communcation and transport open but people laugh at them out of ignorance.
The Russians, "losers" geniuses incapable of doing anything but fantastic and effective weapons. It is incredible how they put their intelligence and expertise in creating the most varied weapons, almost all of the best, but the rest of their industry and second-rate technology, what would their country be like if they focused all that on progress!
Wow. That's the real deal...you can see some of these very difficult type of assaults, very well done by some jihadists in Syria. Assaulting a fortified position, or structure, like this building...with no rockets, or heavy weapons like the US Bushmaster proximity fused 25-30-40 mm cannon. It's laser optic can determine exactly where to most effectively detonate the munitions, killing anyone inside in about 3 seconds...lol. Look up marines in Fallujah fighting next to the Bradley fighting vehicle, with this type of weapon mounted. Devastating. *respect to this type of work...very brave and indeed effective.*
Back in the 50s the Soviets built two self-propelled mortars, one of 406mm and another of 420mm. The recoil put too much stress on the T-10 tank chassis that carried them and they were abandoned.
