How did I miss this? I watched your Ballora video when it came out and really enjoyed. I'm always keeping an eye for different timelines especially those that aren't just a summary of someone's interpretation. It is a crime that youtube took so long to recommend me this. On the video itself, I think order of events have always been important but I think t he only game that really leaned into the timeline aspect of it was FNAF 2. Like we get a really detailed explanation of the rise and fall of the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and the 2 weeks it was open. At least I believe there's a balance between telling a summary of the story while accounting for the ambiguity with a lot of the events, an objective timeline I think is possible and I hope to prove it one day. Anyway you've earned a subscriber, and I can't wait to see whatever you do next.
I agree that FNAF 2 is the only game that's really leaned hard into the timeline, at least as far as giving us an exact year. Everything else seems more like "it happened sometime after/before this other thing" which is much more vague lol. Hopefully you're right and we'll get some clarity in the future! I'm glad you've been enjoying my work! I'm releasing a new video near the end of October, so I hope to see you there! :D
Why do you hide inside your walls... When there is music in my halls... All I see is an empty room... No more joy an empty tomb... It's so good to sing all day... To dance, to spin, to fly away... All I do is dance alone... But now I hear your flesh and bones... I roam these halls alone all day... But now you're here, friend and prey Admit it. You wanted to let me in.
I'm still salty about the fact we get a "Making Baby, "Making Freddy" & "Making Foxy" but we didn't get one for Ballora. She's always excluded from things, even from her own game :( It's sad cause she's my favorite animatronic in the whole franchise.
Ballora is so interesting. She seems the most unwilling to participate, the only one who didn’t want to leave, and so Baby punished her. I think it would be interesting if she was the only one who knew he wasn’t William, but none of the others (specifically Baby) didn’t care. But Baby thinking he was William didn’t make sense anyway? Baby makes no sense. But I think the game is so focused now on the sci-fi murder robots angle that the idea never would have crossed their minds that maybe one of them would have to be forced into the hive mind. IMO it would have been interesting if Ballora was the red herring so you don’t suspect Baby.
"Few" and "Plenty" refer to how many *kinds* of fish/crabs can be caught in a given area, not how abundant they are. "Few" means just one species, "Plenty" means two or occasionally three.
@@theinsightfulllama You're welcome! It took me a while to figure that out, using my catch outcomes and the depth info for each crab from the Encyclopedia.
It's not technically possible to finish the game without at least some Day fishing, I'm afraid. There's at least one more plot-essential task after the Twisted Strand's quest that demands a diurnal fish.
Equipping the hook and trap you received from the shrines will boost your chance of catching an aberrant. Very useful if you're looking to complete your Encyclopedia or add new paint color options at the Painter's.
2:02:58 - If you start befriending the dog by tossing it the bits of fish, rather than feeding it solely from your hand like you did, the famished pooch will scarf up the scraps directly from the beach along with a mouthful of sand. The fact that it barfs up a trinket later on makes more sense that way. ;-)
The red exploding jellyfish are hazards only, and can't be caught. The one you need for the Researcher, you just have to keep night-trawling for until it turns up randomly.
You can talk to the robed figures at any time of day or night, until their quests are done. After they've received their fish and handed over your reward, none of them will respond to you: they're no longer interested in anything except waiting for the end of the world.
You can save a lot of time by setting your crab traps within easy reach of the Traveling Merchant's pontoons, or within the harbor of Greater Marrow. No need for special trips to check on them; just stop off at the ones where the water is roiling on your way in and out of port. Don't worry about depleting the crabs in any given area; any space that registers as "Plenty" will provide similar catch rates for both crab types found there. Don't worry about traps breaking from being left out too long, either: when their duration bar turns fully red, they just quit adding to their catch.
1:45:06 - Despite the pictures of the engines being static, it's apparently the case that you can swivel their propellers to new angles so they still work right, even if the motor is installed sideways or back-to-front.
1:07:30 - SEE-luh-kanth is correct. They're rather famous among biologists, as they're the last surviving representatives of a very ancient fish taxon related to lungfishes and land vertebrates. 1:18:34 - Thar she blows! Blue whale. Harmless, but a great photo op once you help the Photographer. 🙂 1:31:31 - Dredged items will have a purple background if they're something the Collector wants. 1:32:26 - The Workshop only opens if you buy a minor DLC. You don't need to access it to complete the game or any of its quests. 2:11:24 - You can install multiple hooks if you have enough spare Rod spaces to add more. Their fishing speed bonuses stack, as well as the types they can catch. Extra engines can likewise stack their speed bonuses. 2:18:17 - Orcas. Another photo op. 2:59:53 - Crab pots that have caught something are indicated by roiling water, like the fishing spots are. Empty pots sit in still water.
Had to do some math but at 3:40:13 llama puts down the tamagotchi and the golden mut is right behind the tamagotchi the golden mut also vanished when she put the computer up again
Love your gameplay. Maybe you playing with the seetings was more of a procrastination, but it was still fun to see, all the settings and what they change : )
I ❤ how slow paced this playthrough is it gives the game a more menacing tone and makes each battle feel like more of a complishment welldone amazing video!
The hitbox of the buttons are probably VERY precise, which is why you died. I'd know since I've died on night 5 several times and went through the SAME issue as you.
Maybe Balmoral could be a good character? She kidnaps us to warn us about baby? She gets scooped by baby because she's warning you? That would be cool I guess
Complicated? Absolutely. 15:40 via Silver Eyes and Into the Pit, it's considered to be 1985. So the general scope being Crying Child bitten in '83, five kids in '85, FNAF 2 in '87, and FNAF 1 around '93. And maybe the first Fazbear's Pizza between the Diner and FNAF 2 was 1's building with the Unwithereds. Though I think 3's phone calls give springlock tutorials for Fazbear's... If not for Scott's supposed confidence, all "there are no errors in the story, only your interpretation" (at least I'm pretty sure he said that), I like to imagine his response to the lore conflictions as a mesh of Phone Guy lines going "Oh, um um um um um... uh... uh... uh... ya know." Lately I've been trying to make a chart on the major human characters (4 Afton's, 2 Emily's and 5 missing kids), and their animatronic counterparts across the games and books - solid or speculative.
I admit I'm not super familiar with the books, although they're something I'd love to look into in the future. That sounds like a super interesting chart, I hope you have luck in finding some answers and having some fun!
I have heard that if Baby's portrayal in FFPS was to align with TFC, then her cover blowing in Night would be based after William going on about spring locks in TSE. And her ditching Ennard might've been off of complaints that she wasn't a direct threat in SL. And this thing was the ONLY hint as to why she's separated. Also, the Bonnie hand Puppet gets called Bonbon.
I admit I'm not too familiar with the books, so there very well could be an explanation for my criticisms in them. Maybe in the future I'll take a closer look at them, it would definitely be interesting. Thank you for your comment! (I'll try to remember Bonbon's name next time lol)
15:49 "At some point I stopped feeling frustrated and just started to feel empty." I am SO glad that's not just a "me" thing with video games. That's exactly how Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion made me feel, and there was a long period where I thought I was overreacting. Something beating you down over and over can have a very real psychological effect on you, and I think a lot of people forget that that can apply to absolutely any experience someone has.
Definitely agree. A challenge in a game should motivate you to keep trying, not make you wish you were doing something else. Thank you for commenting! :D
Honestly that already seems like good amount of steak for one portion, I might be wrong though idk. If you want more steak then you’re going to have to pay for it.
