It’s really reaffirming to hear someone else vocalize a lot of the stuff I struggle with! My anxiety towards creating has all but halted my art making for YEARS (plus probably being burnt out from work) and even though I love watching all of the other Big Name art vloggers, sometimes I just feel envious because I can’t stop comparing where they are vs me lol
Thank you! I often times struggle with the comparison too, and it can prevent me from enjoying where I am currently. I’ve found that taking breaks from social media and having a sketchbook that is only for me is really helpful. I’m sure you’ll find your creative footing soon!
These looks amazing! I LOVE how little Link came out. So cute! And I love the colors you used! Acryla gouache is my anti-medium. We don’t get along haha!
I’m sorry you don’t like the final result of the second painting. They both are REALLY BEAUTIFUL!!! I am so in love with the colours and hue you were able to capture! And the changes off camera really made the eyes so lovely 💓💓💓💓
Wow!! From your last video the website was definitely having such wonderful progress, but you absolutely sprinted to the finish line!!! Congratulations it’s so CUTE!! I beyond love that wavy text stream at the top!!
I just discovered your channel. It's so exciting to find people who are on a similar journey. I hope your shoulder is feeling better :) Your art is so charming! Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing your process. I'm mentally preparing to one day open my shop as well, but it really is a lot of work. I'm looking forward to seeing your creative journey, and I have no doubts you will continue to grow!
Thank you so much for the kind and meaninful comment! It is a lot of work to open a shop, but there is really no rush! Take your time and do it in baby steps. I feel like breaking the process into little parts helped me. I'm sure you will do great!
I stumbled upon this video today and it is so lovely! Not only your art, but also the way you filmed it. Maybe you could film a video about your filming process? I try to film videos myself and I have no idea how you managed to paint and record so many different shots at the same time! 😅 Very impressive! But returning to the paintings - I love how your first layer was this pale color, it looks so cool on the final artworks! It gives a vintage vibe to me.
Thank you so much for the kind words and suggestion! If I’m being honest, the many shots consist of me moving my tripod a lot, and occasionally switching out my camera lenses . It’s a little tedious, but also gives time for paint to dry!
@@emilywezeman Thanks for the reply! That is what I was afraid of :D When I paint/draw, I get so focused, that it is very annoying to remember about moving the camera! :D
Hey everyone! The shop is up and running! 🍉 Additionally, due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis and atrocities happening to Palestinian people in Gaza, all proceeds from my shop will be donated @unrwa from now until the end of June🍉
WOW!! Such a beautiful illustration! I really love all the textures you brought into it. It’s kind of amazing to see how much improvement between the previous illustrations (which are still GORGEOUS)
I've had similar issues using hot pressed paper. I was so confused as to why I suddenly couldn't seem to paint well anymore 😂 But rather than looking up techniques, I've just stuck to cold passed paper or my Talens sketchbook haha. You seemed to make it work well though in the end! Good job!
Cold pressed is definitely preferred. I think hot pressed is good for mixed media with lighter washes of paint. I just need something that can handle all the water I through at it.
I love your art content but would love to see some other topics sometimes, maybe vlog here and there, to know you better as a person! <3 :) Thank you :=)
Thanks for the feedback❤️! The video before this was actually a vlog and I’ll be posting another vlog later this month! If there’s anything you’d like to see in future vlogs feel free to let me know ☺️!
I love the bubbly text with the cloud of pink! Option C for me!! It’s so reassuring to watch you make schedules and goals knowing that life is busy and you need breaks!
I got my domain name - but independently not as part of a package . As there can be issues transferring the domain in future. And in some horror stories companies have purchased plan contributor’s names when they lapsed and gouged the owners if they wanted them back plus, to transfer hosting. Can’t settle on a host except that shopify is the best but way too costly. In fact all the hosts cable. To aussies are costly
Oh that’s some helpful info! The cost is definitely such a big factor. That’s why I used Big Cartel for a while. It was cheaper and worked well for me. I’m hoping this upgrade is worth while and makes things more professional.
Option A for me. Have you tried just filling in the letters with color instead of a swath of color on top? I can't "see" it in my head but it might be a good idea depending on the background you'll have it against. Congrats on reaching your goals! Procrastination is The Evil....
I love a good thick watercolor paper for final work, but there’s just something so satisfying about painting on something that has no business being painted on 😂.
I really liked the drawing approach to your logo, maybe I’m biased since I just love your art! This was refreshing to see as a process broken up to chunks that are less daunting !!
That's a beautiful illustration! I love hot press paper but I agree that cold press does better with paint sometimes. That being said, my fingers rebel at touching the cold press texture😅
I love watching you discuss mediums and supplies to work with! You have such a great perspective! I feel like this year is absolutely about getting into the flow with art 💓
This is such a B E A utiful piece! I love it so much 😍 I really felt the emotion & I think it paid off for you to go in this direction. DONT be afraid to put your feelings into your creations! I'm a big believer in putting emotion into your artwork, in fact it's prolly one of my FAV things about creating art. It makes the artwork even better. 🙌
I LOVE watching your creations!! All the input you have on your processes is so insightful!! I feel like I am always learning something and getting a fresh perspective! 💓
