Sure the cars have accessibility features but is there level boarding at the platforms? Thats the biggest accessibility issue with trains for people with mobility issues

I'm surprised you didn't visit the Hong Kong Railway Museum in Tai Po. It isn't among the world's more impressive railway museums, but there is an old narrow-gauge steam locomotive and some standard-gauge rolling stock from the sadly now defunct Kowloon and Canton Railway.
Flew on one of these 8 or 9 years ago. It's a great arrangement. No waiting in line in the aisles. Plenty of toilets for everyone. Even at peak occupancy, zero wait.
