Steve I am enjoying this interesting large number of videos all at once. "watch all" is most enjoyable - like going for a sail itself - winds up then drops off then sunset then early morn... delightful
Steve, what was your destination? I'm hoping to someday sail Fishermans Island to Chincoteague, 60 miles, outside, at night. Eight to 12 Sw winds would make it heaven, with nothing but the heavens to look at... but doubt I could stay awake, would need a sidekick.
Steve, it was great meeting you at the Chestertown's Downrigging festival. It is clear in your video's that you enjoy sailing your boat to it's max. Awesome. Still trying to wrap my head around spending four weeks on my boat - hoping to some day!
Got something just right. Sturdy upright and pretty dry too. One reef in so maybe that's 16, 17knots. I like the tie in's with the cockpit. OPEN is best for me.
Recently started looking into small boat cruising. I have a Cape Dory 25, not exactly small compared to some I have found on RU-vid. Fascinated by the Welsford/Gig Harbor Scamp. I am very close to you in Norfolk. I believe it is you I have seen on the Elizabeth River while on the Ferry. Maybe even once coming into Rudee inlet 4 or 5 summers ago.... Love the long multi-day cruises you and others go on. Love the idea of a trailer sailor! Fair Winds
I think your reflection on your blog was a little self critical Steve. I thought much of this was good stuff with some interesting perspectives. Good sailing video at an angle is often slightly shaky - that is what action cam stuff should be. Loved it. 1.25 minutes well spent from my perspective. happy new year and thank you :)
