Thank you for talking about this! I just got a MBA M3 and the text is terrible on a 4k LG monitor. No matter what I did. I simply gave up and returned it. I will just use the build in screen on my current MBA M1. It’s clear and sharp. It’s a shame Apple does it. They do it to force you to buy their expensive monitor.
The aperture number is relative to the sensor size. The given aperture size (size of the physical opening in the iris that can be expressed in millimeters squared or, usually, as a diameter of a round opening) will give you higher aperture number for a sensor of a bigger size while the amount of light that it is letting through stays the same (as the opening in the iris stays the same). Hence the 2.2 aperture for a 1 in sensor may be physically wider than a 1.9 aperture combined with a smaller sensor. I'm speaking generally because I don't know what size is the x3/4 sensor and, in all honesty, I would need to dig deep in some photography textbook to find the proper formula for the aperture number calculation. You can also think about the physical size required for a 2.8 aperture professional camera lens (huge sensor relatively speaking) and compare it to the 1.2 (or something ridiculous like that) aperture of your cell phone lens. It should be pretty obvious which one is able to let more light through. The fact that the phone camera lens number looks so much better is simply a result of it being combined with a minuscule photo sensor.
Hey ! I'm a French FPV pilot in colombia and I've taken my 5" with me. Was wondering if it was complicated to dive el Peñol (regarding police/security). I've seen pilots flying DJI drones in public with police arround and they did not seem to care. But no idea for an FPV drone. Do you have an idea ?
@@skytechoneyes but I would have takeoff from the bottom I was asking if they would chase the drone/pilot in that case, but anyways, I've left now 🤷♂️ thanks anyway !
Hey anyone please help i have a 31,5 inch 1440p monitor and have an m2 macbook air connected via hdmi (yeah, i dont have a dp adapter sadly) and i have tried many configurations but anything i tried it still looks bad and blurry. at this moment i have it on native 2560x1440 with HiDPI enabled
@@IstvanDosa you can try usbc to display port, but you should check online first. i have mine on usbc to usb c and it has way more resolutions than hdmi
nice honest and accurate comparisons , I have an RS 1 inch never bought an X3 but I am thinking about an X4 , obviously the 1 inch would be better for low light and the X4 for more action based things and effects like slow mo and time lapse type effects. thanks
Wow! I actually think the stabilization and contrast look the best on the X4 at night. And I even like the contrast/detail more on the X4 during the day. Thanks for making this video.
One RS will have less color out the box but better detail due to the bigger sensor, but if you try to do anything moving with like a sport, that’s where you’ll see the One RS not keep up with the others, which are true action cams. But I still do pro work on the One RS only but I’ll see how to work in this X4.
No, sensor size does not affect exposure. Exposure is determined by the amount of light that hits a specific point on the sensor, not the total amount of light for the entire area. As long as the camera settings remain the same, the exposure of the final image will be the same regardless of the sensor size. For example, if a micro-4/3rd camera and a full frame camera are both set to 1/60 at f/2.8 and take a picture of the same scene in the same lighting, the exposure will be the same for both cameras.
@@VictorChu-n4d That is not the case. Light capturing area per pixel effects exposure settings significantly. It's the reason that an A7SIII produces brighter images than the previous A7S iterations. The new sensor is multi layer which increases the light capture area by ~15%. Same applies to comparing like sensors that differ in size but not resolution. A smaller sensor will need proportionally more time to have the same exposure when compared to a larger sensor at the same resolution.
the fact that you have the cameras configured differently makes the whole experiment for naught but the way you talk and deliver your commentary makes the video unwatchable.
I guess i dont understand why you are using 1080p from the x4 no one is going to use that when they can get 2.7k. 1080p looks horrible in todays standards.
When you reframe to "De-warped" footage, the frame is very narrow, so you are working with HD on the X4, and less with the other cameras. You are only using a fraction of the full 8K image. If I were to use warped footage, I would export at 4K.
All good cameras. 1-inch has the least noise in low light. I think X4 is slightly better in dynamic range than the X3. Some people prefer the filmic look of the X3/4, I prefer the 1-inch look.
No-denoising at all. Only post processing was white balance correction during the part when i was talking in front of camera. I will try to do that soon.
Thanks, great take. I guess it was one of the DJI Minis? Inside the church did you have to rely on machine vision or did you have decent GNSS reception? Thanks
Oh man...money is not so much an issue for me to a degree...but im not buying the 34' apple monitor...thats completely ridiculous. I am wanting to buy a Mac Mini. For my workload, i need 1 wide monitor as apposed to having 3 monitors which drives me nuts. What monitor do you think or where can i find good fair information on a 34" to 40" wide screen monitor ? My requirements are not so much for gaming, but running trading programs. So i need txt clarity along with watching a financial tv on the monitor at the same time. Thanks.
I would look at B&H or Amazon. However, i am experiencing some crashing issues and experienced a decresed level of crashing when i deleted BetterDisplay. I am still experiencing some occasionally crashing probably not related to BD. This might be an isolated issue though.

if you are flying one of the newer drones, within the last couple of years, you will need to learn how to unlock the drone in certain places. Check DJI unlock or DJI Geo Zone info fly-safe.dji.com/nfz/nfz-query?zone=%5Bobject%20Object%5D&device=%5Bobject%20Object%5D fly-safe.dji.com/unlock/unlock-request/list
