I actually like to think that the other members of Toecutter's men are still alive, (especially Mudguts and Clunk who survived falling the bridge) Max only caused the demise of Toecutter, Johnny and Bubba, since Toecutter was the leader of the gang, Johnny burned his partner and Bubba was the only one to try and run him over
Quem dera fosse milhões de mad Max o mundo seria mais seguro licença prévia para acabar com esse tipo de sub raça que assola nossa família e sociedade.
Now the questions remains: Did Max lie about the time Johnny the Boy had to cut through to freedom, or did Johnny cutting through lead to the explosion? The ambiguity outside of whether Johnny cut the cuff or his ankle (personally I think he was too pathetic to cut through his own ankle) is stunningly dark.
The first time I saw this film was through a recording. The recording stopped when Max pointed his gun at this addict. I thought there was going to be more confrontation afterwards. That the fights we had just seen were not the main ones. Well apparently yes. It's not all that Hollywood
That is if he could be caught. Right about now, millions would be rioting and killing police in the crisis. Some person who went off into the Outback would likely be dead anyway. Food was short and police would be diverted to the main cities for the riots. That and almost everyone got killed by nuclear bombs. So who would be left to find him?
One of the greatest, badass, satisfying revenge kills and endings of all time When he said that line you can feel the anger, sorrow and pain in his voice. Mel Gibson was incredible in this role
In civilized society, not many understand what this scene encapsulates. Yes, WE have due process. But you gotta remember, due process is slow, and a car had speed. That’s what the whole franchise is about. Trying to outrun justice, and finding out what happens when justice catches up. It’s not always civilized.
The first film is arguably the most disturbing. All the subsequent movies show the buring husk of civilization. The first film shows a society on its last legs. Which is even creepier.
Mel Gibson torments a suicidal Tim Burns again in Lethal Weapon, when he handcuffs him and jumps off a building in West Hollywood. "Do you really wanna jump? You wanna? Well then that's fine with me!" watch?v=BOP6uMTYaM8
